Doh! You grown-ups! Running around talking sense and everything. Nope. The submitter must be more broad-minded. Sign her son up for local teen gay support clubs. Go to said clubs and obtain literature and read it with him. Gay guys are the stereo-typically style gurus. Work with him to redecorate his room, perhaps paint it pink, or at least pink touches. Buy a lage-scale poster of Bruno and pin it on the back of his door - without telling him - just before one of his visitors arrive - of either sex. Buy him a copy of Brokeback Mountain or Priscilla and if he questions it, be hurt and say you want to be supportive and your research said that it's popular with the gay community. Make an appointment at his school to speak with a counsellor about his being gay - fake guilt to the counsellor, that sort of thing. Or at least go through the obvious pretence of such a thing to scare the crap out of him, force a confession, make him grovel and plead not to 'out him'. I wouldn't dream of suggesting doing this to a genuinely gay teenager, I don't generally condone torture, but he played you. Son 1 - 0 Mum - it;s only half-time.
