If you knew you gained & still asked then you're just looking for a reason to be mad. Should have asked in a more tactful way or not at all. My kid's dad has learned in the past three years that you can't win with those kind of questions & says things much like your boyfriend, Op. Get over it. He's mastering the art of answering women's ridiculous questions.
