Today, during lunch at school, a wave of nausea came over me. I ran to the bathroom and made it just in time. As I was throwing up, I set off the toilet's automatic flush and my vomit came flying back into my face. FML

Today, I was feeling sick so I decided to lay down. As soon as I did, I felt the sudden urge to throw up, so I ran to the bathroom. When I bent over the toilet to throw up, my glasses fell in along with my vomit. Before I had a chance to retrieve them, I threw up again. And again. FML

Today, I was very sick and kept throwing up. I took a shower after every time I threw up. While in the shower after I threw up, I had to throw up again, so I got out and ran to the toilet. I slipped on the tile, broke my nose on the floor, and then threw up. FML

@4 and 8, a lot of these take a couple days to get through the screening. @ OP, if the toilet was flushing how could it spray back up? usually when you flush the stuff goes down not up....

Most boarding schools have school on saturday - that way they give weeks off for the holidays so the kids who live far away from the school (sometimes even on different continents) can travel home. Also many public schools have full day saturday detentions

This is complete and total BS. If the automatic toilet throw their vomit back in their face, it would also throw piss and crap into people as well. WHICH DOESN'T HAPPEN. There is some splash back but it's from the fresh water spraying into the toilet - not the dirty water splashing back into someone's crotch. Idiot. I hate fake FMLs.

I have a trick to defeat those things. Stick a post-it note over the sensor. Then it's blind to you and won't go until you take it off. They work because something blocks the light. Or something like that. I hate how they always spray my ass if they flush before I'm done.

That's pretty sick, I'm afraid of vomiting period cause chunks get all in my nose... suck big time... This happened to me at a Dairy Queen few years back... And why are people really arguing about how this is (or was) on a Saturday? And how toilets can spray back up? Kinda stupid in my opinion.

And when a toilet sprays you, it is called back splash, yes there is even a term for it. To much force in the flush or there is an air pocket when flushing occurs
