Today, at the supermarket, a man collapsed. I gave CPR while the cashier called for help. During this, the other patrons were complaining that no other register was open. Once the ambulance arrived, I returned to my cart to find items removed and 40 dollars taken from my purse. FML

Today, I went to the store, but after I'd selected my items, I saw that I'd forgotten my wallet. When I tried to explain to the cashier, he thought that I was trying to steal and called the cops. My roommate had to come to the store to save me. FML

Today, I was at the store when I saw that a cart in the checkout line next to me was starting to roll away and the owner hadn't noticed. I tried to help by reaching out to stop the cart from moving, but when the owner saw me with the cart, she began to hit me for trying to steal her purse. FML

Today, I went to the supermarket to buy my weekly groceries and only realized after a long queue at the checkout, then having the cashier scan my entire cart, that I'd forgotten my purse. I had to leave everything behind and walk out empty-handed, while everyone in line behind me gave me dirty looks. FML

Today, I saw an elderly man struggling to make it across a busy street. I jumped up from my table at Starbucks to help him, leaving my things behind. When I got back to my table feeling good, I found that my coffee had disappeared. So had my wallet. FML

Today, since it's company policy, I had to go to the back of my small store to retrieve an item for a customer, even though I was working by myself. I came back to find that since she couldn't get into the cash register, she found and stole my purse instead. FML

I'm still trying to figure out how this person deserved this. They helped someone and ended up with 40 dollars stolen some people just don't have a heart.

I have a backpack purse made by Coach. I never felt comfortable keeping a purse in a shopping cart because of shady thieves. With mine, I have both hands free and my purse is secure.

Maybe you can file a report and look at the security cameras to see who did it. And I'd send this story to the local news if there is camera footage. Someone as deplorable as that, stealing while you were saving another's life will probably air on tv and show their mug shot and hopefully someone will turn them in.

They should have security cameras to see who did it. Good for you for helping save someone, and whoever took your money will get what they have coming to them.

What kind of person would ever click on the you deserved it button? If you are CPR certified, you are required by law to help them. All I can say, to the people who took your money, karma is a bitch.
