Today, a close friend told me she had no plans for her birthday. I found out she was lying when I had to serve her and 9 other mutual friends dinner at the restaurant I work at. I don't know what's worse, the fact that I wasn't invited or that none of them even remembered that I worked there. FML

Yeah I don't know about that "close friend" part...

Damn OP. She is obviously not a good friend. Let her/them go and move on! You deserve someone who would treat you right and not do that crap to you! She's obviously being fake. Go find someone worth your time!

maybe it was a surprise and she didn't plan or organise it?

I think what's worse is the fact she lied to you

That term "close friend." I do not think it means what you think means, OP.

I hope she felt terrible when she saw you there.

Let them go, let them go.. Turn away and slam the door. My answer to you, all bitches and dickfaces.. She must have told her friends and none did anything about it. You're richer without them.

I hope this was a matter of any of the following: last minute plans organized by another person (you weren't called because they knew you had to work), surprise party - bitch move from the organizer, or a surprise party organized by someone you aren't close with.
