Today, at my retail job, I was trying to get a large amount of cardboard to the trash and had a short path to maneuver through displays and customers. As I'm coming down the aisle, a customer sees me and stops to look at a coffee cup display, directly in my path. FML

'Take thy stare from out my heart, and excuse thy form from this floor!” Quoth the Customer “Nevermore.”' ...Just say "Excuse me." Sometimes people don't put two and two together, and have a one track mind.

You must work at a Walmart or similar style store. I was doing Christmas freight myself yesterday and all 3 times I had to do a cardboard run(putting it into the bailing machine) some jackoff would make a point to stop and just talk with other people right in the middle of the lanes. Way to many people in the country have a me and my life is all that is important mentality

And the customer selecting a coffee cup is why you have a job at all. You should patiently wait for the customer to go through the process uninterrupted.

Don’t you know? It’s the American way!

Oh the joys of working retail! I did it for 2 years in high school and I don't miss it. Everybody should have to do it for at least a week so they can understand what customer service workers go through. Thanks for being on the front lines and keeping our society going!

Some customers feel like it’s their duty to be difficult and certainly take it upon themselves.

Ugh, that is one of my biggest pet peeves. A few weeks ago I literally had someone see me, stand in front of me looking at things, and when her husband saw me he told her she was in the way and her response was to say, "Bullshit, I'm not in anyone's f***ing way, I'm looking, not scratching my ass!" The only way around her was to back up with a loaded cart and go around two huge displays. People and their rudeness just infuriate me.
