Today, after taking a pregnancy test and carefully disposing of all the evidence so no one would find out, I realized I left the receipt for it on the bathroom counter. I noticed too late as I watch my mom step out of the bathroom, and my step-father go in right after. FML

Today, my mom came into my room, yelling at me about a pregnancy test that she found in my bathroom. My mom wouldn't believe me when I said it wasn't mine. Turns out my sister bought the test, threw it under my bathroom cabinet, and now she won't admit to the prank. She thinks this is hilarious. FML

Today, I pooped in a drug store bathroom but forgot to flush. I left to go find my mom and found her in the toy section. I guess after I had walked away oblivious, a woman had walked into the bathroom behind me and found the kids I'd abandoned. She then came and found my mom and me, then yelled at me. FML

Today, after much deliberation, I decided to accept my parents' invitation to a family dinner. A half hour after I arrived, all hell broke loose, because my mom's pregnancy test had come back positive, and she was convinced my dad had poked holes in his own condom. FML

Today, my mother told me she needed a urine sample to send in to the doctors to test for any allergies. I did what she had asked and went to my room. I came down stairs later and found her in the bathroom putting my pee on a pregnancy test stick. FML

Today, I went into my Moms room to look for a t-shirt. I went into her drawer and behind all of her clothes was a cell phone. Not only did I not find the t-shirt, I also found out my Mom is cheating on my Dad with someone from work and now I have to pretend like I don't know. I work there too. FML

don't get yourself in those situations if youre not ready to deal with the consequences!! if you're afraid of your parents finding out then you're not ready and shouldn't have sex!! if your parents wanted to raise another child they would have had another one!! use birth control and condoms, oh yeah, and abstinence!

Isn't it a bit funny how this received more YDIs than FYLs? I bet if the person's gender were male, it'd be different. Girls having sex is a bit more "standardized" than males, for some reason. It's stigmatized. And it's ridiculous that people go along with it, calling girls "******", "*****", just going along with "slutshaming", as if it is an oh so horrible thing to have sex... if you're a girl. Gender roles ftl. AND FYL.

I don't know about for the other voters, but for me, it was more about the fact that she most likely failed to use protection or take precautions to ensure that she didn't get pregnant, despite the fact that her situation in the FML seems to imply that she wasn't of an age or situation to be ready to get pregnant. Personally, people can have all the sex they want, regardless of gender -- they just need to be prepared to either take necessary precautions or be ready to accept the consequences.
