Another fine mess

By Moron - This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff - Canada

Today, due to a misunderstanding, I unintentionally agreed to have a dinner date with a co-worker. He's ten years older than me. Not only do I have to find a way to reject him, but I have to work with him on weekends. The worst part is, he's the first guy to ask me out in ages. FML

Just go out with him this one time, then if you still don't want to date him after this, kindly let him know.

Say no and hope hes not over dramatic. I hate when people over react to the smallest rejection.

give him a chance. if he's the first guy to ask you out in ages then quit being so picky.

Some girls just never understand, that those guys are usually the only ones who know how to treat women

Yup! I actually did the exact same thing as OP once. I figured I'd just get through the date as quickly as possible and let the guy down easy. I ended up having a blast and he was way, way more gentlemanly than any guy I'd ever dated who was my own age. OP, give the guy a chance!!

Yes, FYL, someone finds you attractive! 10 years? So what? Are you that shallow? Christ...

you complain when you get a date, complain when you don't. smh.

Free dinner with a compliment, then wait another decade to be asked out again

I hate it when people write FMLs just to get sympathy. I know it's FML but no one wants to hear about no one likes you. We came here to laugh. Not be sad. Ok, that's my ranting for now.

If you are 16 that could be a problem.

So? What's the big deal? You didn't say he smelled like rotten cheese or stalked you. What is your problem with him, the SHOCK HORROR fact that he's ten years older? Oh noes :(
