Today, I explained to my teacher that I wasn't at school yesterday due to three doctor appointments for my moderate epilepsy. Yesterday was senior skip day. She gave me detention for lying. FML

Today, I fell asleep in class. I'm the teacher; I've already given students detention for falling asleep in class this year. FML
Today, my parents got a call from my English teacher. She told them that I have 14 days of detention because I've been cutting class. I've been there every day, but apparently she never noticed me. FML
Today, I was given an entire week of detention for planking on my school desk. FML
Today, I got detention at school because a girl told the principal I was stalking her on campus. I wasn't stalking her, we just have very similar schedules. FML
Today, I forgot to bring a letter to my secondary school, so I went to detention. I told them it got lost, but it's only when my parents phoned and told them the same thing that they believed it. So I got detention for nothing. FML
Today, I finished my classwork and my homework early. Since we weren't allowed to leave the room, I decided to draw. My teacher noticed and gave me detention for "goofing off" when I should be doing my work. When I told the teacher I was already done, they gave me a second detention for "attempting to defy them". FML
Today, I got detention from my teacher for not handing an assignment in. It would be understandable if I hadn't handed it in a week before it was due. She won't listen to reason. FML
Today, I was suspended for "selling drugs on campus". I was trying to give the school nurse approved medication for my severe epilepsy. I'm suspended for 3 weeks and have to go to a drug seminar. FML
Today, I had to skip class to attend a truancy court hearing. FML
Today, I came to school late because I had to drop off my daughter at school. When I got on campus, the security told me I was late but I said, "Oh no, I work here." and he said, "Oh like I haven't heard that one before." And he took me to detention. My boss, the Principal, had to bail me out. FML

Possibly because you don't have epilepsy. It IS possible to have multiple doctor's appointments in one day. example- family physician, cardiologist, and oncologist. all within a 6 hour period.

They do tests over several hours with breaks in between. three tests=three appointments

So did you really have 3 doctor's appointments? Not doubting you, but the way you wrote the FML makes it unclear. I feel you though. In high school, I failed the last quarter of physics, because I started having debilitating migraines along with fainting spells, so I kept missing class for doctor's appointments. My teacher took off 5 points for each missed class, no excuses. At least I aced the final.

You can get an excuse note after an appointment with literally any medical professional, so if you didn't think to do that then YDI.

Why didn't you get a doctor's certificate? Also I don't know how it works where you are, but I had to submit forms about any medical conditions my children have to school. Especially an action plan from the doctor things like asthma, severe allergy, diabetes and epilepsy for the school to refer to in an emergency. Surely most schools have a similar system and the teacher could have just verified your epilepsy at the office?

Just because most or all schools should have something, doesn't mean they do, or that they tell you what you need to know. The school system I was in was appalling.

There's no such thing as "Senior Skip Day". I'm sure you're not the only one who got detention for skipping school, though you had a legitimate reason to do so.

You can easily prove this by giving them proof or Drs notes about your appointments or contacting your parents before she gave you the detention, thats what they did with our teen
