Today, the guy I'm dating came into the same restaurant where I was eating. He was with a girl. He sat at the table next to mine and didn't even bother to say, "Hi." I guess I'm single again. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was sitting in the restaurant waiting for my blind date to come. I had sat for an hour until I finally got fed up and went to leave when at the same time the guy at the table next to me stood up to leave too. I noticed he had been sitting alone. Turns out he was my date. FML
Today, my date ditched me and showed up with another guy at the same restaurant. She even tried to take the reservation. FML
Today, I ran into my serious boyfriend of two years at a restaurant. He was sitting with another girl. I went over and asked him who she was. He replied, "Who are you?" Apparently I was the secret girlfriend. FML
Today, I went out to a bar with some of my friends. They're all in committed relationships, but every single one of them got hit on. I'm single, and yet again, nobody even said hi to me. FML
Today, I went on my first date with a guy I really like. He completely ignored me. FML
Today, my boyfriend stood me up. At dinner with his parents. FML
Today, I went on a coffee date with a guy I'm interested in. He picked up his phone mid-date to finalize dinner plans with another girl. FML
Today, I invited my girlfriend to go eat out, hoping to put her in a really romantic mood. She decided to tell her friend, who then invited herself and another couple along. I ended up being made fifth wheel, and had to sit alone at an adjacent table. FML
Today, the guy I'm dating took me to a dinner party at a couple's house. Halfway through dinner, I realized they were having the dinner party for the sole purpose of introducing him to their recently single daughter. FML
Today, I went on a date for the first time in ages, only to realize that the guy I was seeing chose to take us to a specific restaurant in able to stalk his ex. FML

You know, just because he is eating with a girl, doesn't mean he is on a date. It could have been family. He may not have even noticed you. You should talk to him before assuming.

That sucks, but you really need to try and ask him about it to hear his side. The fact that he didn't say 'hi' is a red flag, but there's still a chance it wasn't a date.

It could of been for work. Him talking to his girlfriend would be very unprofessional, and could have cost him. Dont be so pessimistic!

Or maybe you were never going out. "The guy I'm dating" is markedly different from "my boyfriend".

Call him and ask whether he saw you in the restaurant. It could have been an academic, professional, tutoring, or counseling meeting. He could have easily not seen you; I've certainly failed to notice people right next to me until they say hi. Don't assume bad faith at every opportunity, because you'll be wrong more often than you'll be right.

Well I can spend hours at dinner next to somebody I know and neither notice nor be acknowledged by that person until I leave. And being with a girl doesn't necessarily mean going on a date. I've gone out to eat with many of my female friends, but I've never dated any of them. :I
