Today, the girl who likes me incredibly much asked me if she could come for a ride with me on my motorcycle. Normally this isn't a problem as I take lots of people out for rides for fun, but this time I had no choice but to tell her she couldn't because she's just too heavy for it. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, the girl of my dreams asked me if I wanted to go biking with her. "Just the two of us," she said. I had to turn her down because I'm 17 years old and never learned how to ride a bike. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were driving around town in his car. To my surprise he took me out to lunch. As we were leaving, a girl walks up and asks if he had room for one more for a ride, sadly he only has two seats in his car. Guess who had to walk! FML
Today, I pulled my motorcycle into a wheelie when my crush drove by. She was the one who drove me to the hospital when I went over backward. FML
Today, I took off the training wheels of my niece's bike. I tried to show her how to ride it, but she told me to get off because I needed a "fat girl's bike." FML
Today, my girlfriend was driving me to her house against my will when I said, "Sometimes it's annoying that you always decide where we go because you drive." She replied, "Yeah, I wish I could be more of the girl in this relationship." FML
Taxi driver
Today, the girl I like was panicking because her car broke down, so I offered her a lift to wherever she needed to be. I drove her to her boyfriend's house. She asked me to drive her home in the morning. FML
Nope, no way
Today, I agreed to go on a bike ride with my boss, even though I think he's crazy. We rode for a few miles, then he decided it was time to merge onto the freeway. FML
Today, I was cuddling with the girl I've been seeing for the past few months. She was saying how much she liked me and how much I meant to her. Reciprocating those feelings, I asked her to be my girlfriend. It was a HARD no for her. Then she drove me an hour and a half home. FML
Today, I watched my fiancé ride off on my motorcycle with another girl. FML
Sorry…
Today, my friend and I offered a hot girl a lift home from campus. I was sitting in the passenger seat and she climbed in behind me. As I adjusted my seat forward to give her more leg room, my friend pulled off - slamming my seat back into her legs. FML

Well she was on the heavy side...

Hopefully he remembered to bend his knees.

I think it was more of a dull thud.

heavy is a pretty much polite term though
videogames4life 10
Was that a pun?
sweetbliss3 37
just curious how big she is? I know plenty of people that are bigger and drive and ride motorcycles just fine.
zach205 24
83, maybe he had a smaller motorcycle
VeganVampyre 27
83, that's what I was thinking. I know someone who weighs well over 300 pounds and rides a bike so how huge was this girl that she was too heavy? Unless OP just has no idea how much weight a bike can hold...

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.
Slightly rude to say that to someone's face. Obesity is not a joke.
loopzoop 5
I know, eating can be a vicious cycle
slingerslasher 24
It's also rude to crash a bike and hurt someone because you knowingly weren't handling it safely
anonymousyogi 8
OP isn't making a joke, if you put too much weight on a motorcycle it will break, he had no choice but to tell her no that's why he feels bad.
doodycakes 16
You're right, obesity is not a joke. That's why it's better that OP said no and made up some excuse as to why he can't take her so her and himself don't end up getting hurt.
GolgiTendonOs 18
Obviously not a joke. Ready a little more carefully next time.
l4urenz 23
Obersity is of course not a joke but most of the time it's the fault of the obese for eating too much and not being active enough. Of course I know that there are also other factors that can cause obesity but in most of the cases it's just an unhealthy diet and laziness. I hate when people protect fat guys from every form of criticism. You are also criticized when you say something stupid, why should you not be if you are harming yourself and there are so simple ways to prevent that.
queerdragon 20
We don't know how heavy Op is, so the girl might not have been super obese, just bigger. But I hope Op was nice about it. I feel bad for the girl. However, sometimes it takes situations like this to make someone realize they might want to make some changes in their life. Having the guy you like say you are too heavy for their bike might be one of them. I feel bad for the girl though. It has to suck.

How is it rude? Is being too fat and going to break him and his motorcycle not rude?

The truth is always preferable to lying in my opinion. There are 100 ways the truth would leak out if he lied to her and then it would be devastating.
EnJey0 19
Regardless, it is his and her own safety that comes into question in this matter. Saying yes could endanger their lives, especially on a busy street or a freeway.

Yes, because getting on a motorcycle with someone who exceeds the weight limit ergo putting your lives in potential danger is a much better option. Hang on, let me not tell you that you're too heavy to get on this vehicle of limited weight capacity, let's instead get on and get into a fun little accident.
sparkledoge 29
Not to mention OP probably didn't say it that way, he surely made it shorter because he's telling the reason why he feels bad and typing "and i told her i am sorry and this is not to offend you but you see, this has a limited weight capacity and the two of go over this weight limit" or something like this makes it a little long and weird sounding.
sk8rdud3 24
Dang, that sucks OP. Hopefully she understands
laden_swallow09 35
She won't. She won't hear your explanation of having to adjust the suspension, just that OP said she was fat.
Symantha23 25
That sucks OP. Talk about an awkward conversation
TJJOE 15
That's a really sucky situation. However, sometimes the truth and sensitivity don't pair well together. I would rather be told the brutal truth than lied to. Although even then there are times you just can't win.

This may be one of the most impressive FML comments I've ever seen.
False_Stupidity 42
A truly well thought out, deep and meaningful comment there. You should be a professional writer!
Shay_Shay97 23
Could she sit on like a side- car or something? Anyways that has to be a tough thing to have to tell a girl. I hope she didn't take it too hard.
oreoeater 21
Not all bikes are compatible with side cars
Dale_shackleford 13
And even if it was, why should he be expected to go out and buy a side car because one person wants to go on a ride.
ChopSuey444 20
No one suggested OP go buy a side car. It was a question on whether or not it would be a good solution, in the hypothetical situation that one were available.
lexos 16
Most bikers don't have one lying around you know those things aren't cheap
citrusglass 22
Yikes, that must've been awkward. But hey, safety first...
Vhavoc11 19
Just run away.
ThrottleJockey 36
Well if she's that big you could probably just walk away at a brisk pace really.
Corey122726 17
Linemen are big as **** too. You ever watch them run? They are running 40s in high 4s low 5s. Just because they're big doesn't mean they're slow.
NickACD 27
@32 your comment gave me a well needed laugh.
isnobodyhere 32
Not your fault.. Hopefully she is confident enough to understand without being offended.
