Today, a girl that I've been falling for told me that she's married. But not to worry, that "won't get in the way of 'us'." FML
Today, through a mutual friend, I met the girl of my dreams. After flirting and exchanging numbers with her, my friend confessed that she's liked me since the day we met. Now the girl of my dreams doesn't want to pursue a relationship with me out of respect for our friend. FML
Today, the only girl I really loved said to me: I want you to be the father of my child, but I don't want to be your girlfriend. FML
Today, the girl of my dreams that I've been dating for months called me. Apparently she's been having recurring nightmares of me cheating on her. She dumped me "just in case." FML

Today, I finally went on a date with a girl I've been talking to for 2 years. She is my dream girl, picture perfect and I love her with all my heart. So I asked her, half jokingly, if I was her dream guy. Her reply? "Don't ask me something you don't want to hear the answer of." FML
Today, after my girlfriend telling me for years that she would marry me in a heartbeat, I finally proposed. She said no. FML
Today, I found out the girl I like is in love with someone else. Five weeks ago, she told me she's never been in love. FML

I'm sorry. If she's given you that answer, you need to let it go. You never dated, not in that sort of relationship, so don't hinder yourself from actually finding someone to love you just as much back. It's hard when you're such good friends with someone. You get a tunnel vision that you're now stuck in. Recognize that it won't happen with her to help yourself in the long run!

FWIW- And I am not saying this would happen to you. I said the same thing to a close guy friend for 7 years, some things in life changed and next week we will celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary. See what else is out there as she is doing the same. You both will learn and grow from those life experiences. You might meet a really amazing person to spend the rest of your life with and move on. Or things might change for you both. At any rate it will do you no favors to hang on.
