Today, my step-dad's three year old granddaughter slept over. She insisted she didn't need a diaper to go to sleep and they put her in my bed with me, actually believing that she didn't need a diaper. Not only did she kick me all night, but I had the joy of waking up to her peeing on me. FML

Today, my 3-year-old fell asleep in our bed while cuddling me, and I let him stay since he was being so sweet. In the middle of the night, he took off his pants and pissed all over my head and back. FML
Today, my one year-old took his diaper off and peed on my chest while I was sleeping. FML
Today, I woke up to my two year old crawling in bed with me and saying, "I poop". Normally this would be ok, but this morning she decided she didn't need a diaper. FML
Today, while I was asleep, my three-year-old cousin wet the bed again. MY bed. FML
Today, I was babysitting a really bratty little girl. She came and cuddled up on the couch so I took it as an apology. I feel asleep while she was sitting with me and when I woke up she had peed on me. She locked herself in her room and was laughing about peeing on me for discipling her. FML
Today, my 2-year-old daughter and my 27-year-old husband both woke me up in the early hours of the morning. Their complaints were the same: they'd both wet the bed. FML
Today, my mom called me and said, "I made your sister laugh so hard she peed her pants." I got home and noticed she also peed on my bed. FML
Today, I woke up to my 2-year-old daughter hitting me in the face. She had just pooped her nappy and put her hands down her pants to "feel it squish around." FML
Today, I took a shower while my two-year-old slept. In the 30 minutes it took me to shower, get dressed, and go back to his room, he had woken up, taken his pants and diaper off, and smears crap all over himself and his bed. FML
Today, after I bathed my nine month old, I laid her on my bed to grab a diaper. I turned around to see that she'd peed on my comforter. I then put her in her playpen to put my cover in the wash. I came back into the room to get her, and saw she'd taken off her diaper. She'd crapped in her playpen. FML

You'd be surprised. It all depends on if the parents are potty training like they should, or if they're even doing it. Some parents expect day care / babysitters to do it for them. My boyfriend's mom keeps kids and she's got a 4 1/2 year old who isn't potty trained at all... he wears pullups all day and cries when he pees in it. His moms said she "doesn't have time to train him"... How you can have a kid and not potty train them is beyond me.

My little cousin wasn't fully potty trained at 3 because she had terrible eczema and couldn't get a good effective treatment until she was about 2 and a half. It was too painful for her to be potty trained before then.

I wasn't potty trained until I was about 3 because I couldn't walk until I was 2.5 - but once I was walking, I was out of those damn diapers. But anyway - most 3 year olds that I work with are day time toilet trained, but don't get out of night time nappies for at least another 6 months. For some kids it takes longer to control their bladder at night. My sister was almost 7 when she stopped wetting the bed every night. My other sister took 6 months after she started daytime training and my brother was like me - as soon as he was out of nappies in the daytime he was out of them at night time.

My daughter is nearly 3 and I'm pulling my hair out trying to potty train her. its got nothing to do with me not doing anything or trying hard enough, this past year I have tried everything to no avail. She simply will not use a potty, toilet or child toilet seat. She will actually make herself ill, holding everything in until she's near a nappy or, strangely, a towel. There's nothing psychologically or physically wrong with her. Trouble with potty training isn't always down to a lazy parent.

What I don't understand is why she was put in bed with you... She was their responsibility not yours, to be perfectly honest if he didn't even know that she should be wearing a diaper to sleep he should never have been looking after her in the first place. Next time I'd kindly refuse to have a three year old- that you aren't actually related to, mind- sharing your bed.
