Today, my son told me he lost the envelope with all the money he earned selling Cub Scout popcorn. The popcorn was delivered already, and the money needs to be turned in to the pack leader tonight. I just spent $220 on popcorn my neighbors are eating. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Market crash
Today, my son took some of my underwear to school. What's worse is he sold it to his classmate for $10. FML
Today, while paying for groceries, I opened my wallet to find that all my cash had been exchanged for Monopoly money. FML
Classy Mom
Today, I was elected "class mom", even though I didn’t want to do it. I was also handed several envelopes in the hectic school hallway, containing parental cash contributions for the year. I lost several of the envelopes while rushing to my car, and now have to contribute €100 instead of €25. FML
Did I teach you NOTHING?
Today, I ordered pizza for dinner and left cash by the door so my son could pay for it, in case it arrived before I got home. I told him they should get all the money, but I just found the tip. Apparently he thought I'd miscounted. I'm a server. FML
Today, after creating a swear jar for my son, I came back to find a $20 bill in it and him saying, "How much does that buy?" FML
Today, I gave my son a bollocking for losing a very important paper that I needed for work. I've just found it in my right pocket. FML
Cheap and gross
Today, while at my job in a candy store, a boy stuck his hand into the bin, contaminating the candy. As I politely explained that the dad had to purchase the affected candy he refused, yelled, then angrily agreed to buy them. The total cost of the candy with the extra pieces? $1.69. FML
Today, my 4 year old son thought it was funny to put money in the shredder. He stuck over 500 dollars in it. FML
I tried
Today, after spending two hours baking cookies for my niece's school's fundraiser, I packed them into a container and drove to the school. When I got there, the teacher looked confused and said the fundraiser was next Saturday. By the time the actual date arrived, every cookie had been eaten by my family. FML
You walked into that one
Today, I asked my mom if I could borrow $20 since I don’t get paid until Friday. She responded with, “Why don’t you return those packages that arrived this week from your online shopping sprees?” FML

$220 dollars out of circulation thanks to your idiot son.

he's a cub scout - he can't be older than 8. The real question is what kind of idiot entrusts $220 in cash to an 8 year old or younger child

Right, because God-forbid someone try to teach their kid personal responsibility.

She's not teaching her son personal responsibility if she just pays when the kid loses the money.
Ligerie 0
she doesn't have a choice but to repay it, she is responsible for the money because she is the adult in the situation. You shouldn't teach a child personal responsibility with OTHER peoples money.

Bullshit, I call bullshit. He kept the money and spent it on pot and hookers, have him tested for THC and STDs.

Uh huh. Kids are a lot smarter than you give them credit for. I think I just complimented thieving kids. Ok I'll shut up now.

You might want to look through your kid's room OP...kids have sticky fingers. He might use it to buy cookies for girls in the cafeteria ;)

Seriously, who lets their Club-Scout-aged son handle money? That's just a disaster waiting to happen. He should have never been allowed to take on that responsibility to began with.

Club scout? D:

Lol, 39.

What's a Club Scout? Does he kill baby seals? He probably pocketed the cash and is spending it on beer and hookers. I live in Texas and 8-year-olds do that shit. YDI for extorting money out of your neighbors to sponsor inane activities to keep your own kids out of your hair.
perdix 31
For the record, this post originally said "Club Scout," but eventually they fixed it. When I was a kid, I was a Cub Scout, but dropped out because I didn't want to be a "Webelo." Even when I was nine, that sounded wrong. "I'm a Webelo" . . . "You guys do what?"

hahaha I laughed out loud at #2 yeah well I'm sorry too bad next time don't let him hold on to the money

You just paid your kid $220 dollars! I hope he gets something nice! Great job raising a responsible and moral son! Exclamations!

YDI for making your poor son be a scout. And for misspelling "cub".
jasisagamefreak 0
1. there is nothing wrong with being a scout. It only helps you get into top colleges etc etc. 2. The OP did not misspell Cub because they are called Cub Scouts. So get it right before you start dissing people.

Apparently this FML has been edited - it originally said club scout.
