Today, my mother thought it would be okay to take my camera and erase all of my pictures that included my graduation, party, and my sisters wedding. Her excuse? "We need more room for Katie's birthday." Katie is our pet cat. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my mom found a box full of stuff she had been looking for. She started going through it and found baby pictures of my sister and me, as well as pictures of the cats. She put my baby pictures back in the box and closed the lid. The cat pictures are now hanging in her living room. FML
Today, I deleted a load of junk that was messing up my mother's computer. I don't know how I'm going to tell her I accidentally wiped out all of her wedding photos. FML
Today, my parents dropped by my new house, and my mother offered to tidy up for me while I was out. After they left, I noticed that her "tidying up" included throwing out all the pictures of my girlfriend and replacing them with pictures of herself. FML
Today, my mom called me an attention seeker and threw a bitch fit because my cat "decided" to die on her birthday. FML
Today, the girl I was babysitting was being disrespectful to me, so I took away her stuffed animal and told her that she couldn't have it back until she apologized. She ended up sneaking onto my laptop and deleting all the pictures I'd saved from my recent vacation to Europe. FML
Today, my mentally-unhinged mother reached a new level of psycho - she threw a tantrum and raged at my father, accusing him of cheating on her with our cat. FML
Today, I got a laptop for my birthday. I was thrilled until I realized that my mom had given away my old one without asking. 6 years of games, music, and pictures down the drain. FML
Today, my girlfriend went through my phone and computer and deleted all my videos and photos of my high school girlfriend, who died when she was only 16. Her excuse was that keeping those photos was emotional cheating. FML
Today, my mother kicked me out of the house because her new boyfriend needs my room. Evidently he also needs my credit card, passport, and wallet too, because she kept all three, while tossing everything else out on the lawn. FML
Today, my 4 year old daughter was ripping out photos of the family photo book, I asked her why she was doing it she answered, "I saw mummy doing it to another book." The only other family photo book was the day we got married. FML

They are recoverable so long as she hasn't taken the pictures of "Katie" yet. Swap out the memory card for a new one and hold onto the memory card with the deleted pictures in them. Then find a Computer Tech who can recover deleted data from computers, flash drives, and memory cards. It won't be cheap ... but you could always send your mother the bill once you recover them.

This person is very right. You dont take pictures of something important and then just leave them on the camera. How are you gonna show the pictures to anyone while they are on the camera ? How long had it been since you took those pictures ? Alot of stuff happened since then, so would it have been that hard to take 10 minutes, and put the pictures on your computer ? Erasing the pictures on the camera was a stupid thing to do but it was bound to happen since you can only fill a camera with a finite amount of pictures.

Has it occured to anyone (I'm sure it has) that those pictures may have been taken somewhat recently, and from the sound of it, life could have been very busy and therefore there was little or no time to upload pictures? The mother sounds a bit nuts.

It's even easier than that. Your pictures are deleted but they are still there in a picture location. There's still time to recover them as long as new pictures have not been taken that replace your old picture locations. You don't need to go to a techie to fix it. There are many free programs online called "file recoveries" or some shit to get it done. I used one to get files from my memory card when it stopped responding and randomly needed to be formatted to be read. I'll post a link to it if I find where I downloaded it from. Well, if the pictures were already taken of your cat, then FYL.

If the poster of this does read this FML, get this program: http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva/ - Even if new pictures have been taken, many should still be recoverable. Follow the directions of the program.
