Today, my 19-year-old brother broke into my dorm and robbed me. When I tried to file a report, my brother went to my parents and told them that he took it because I owed him money on a bet. Guess who lost $92.50. FML
Today, my brother babysat for me. He invited his girlfriend around without me knowing, and they were all playing hide and seek together. While he and his girl were hiding, they decided to have a quickie. My three year old found them and saw everything. She won't stop copying their sex noises. FML

I felt the need to vote both FYL and YDI, because while it sucks for you that he still told them, you're the one who failed to make sure you and your girlfriend would have privacy. You were kind of asking to get busted.

The only real way to deal with blackmail is to get your own blackmail against that person. They'll either rat you out anyway, or extort money out of you continuously. If you have dirt on them, that's worth keeping your secret.
