Today, my in-laws decided they were going to stay an extra week during our vacation to Dominican Republic next year. This would be fine, if we weren't travelling for our destination wedding, and the extra week wasn't our honeymoon. They are literally joining us on our honeymoon. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
This is gonna be fun
Today, my fiancé suggested we bring his elderly mother with us on our honeymoon. FML
Pushover
Today, my in-laws invited themselves to stay at my house for a few days. They live out of state and have been self-quarantining for months. The reason for visiting? So they can throw a party for extended family at our house. Guess who'll end up doing all the work and clean up? FML
Today, it's the first day of our honeymoon. My bride just informed me that she invited her ex-husband to come, so he can spend time with the kids. He will be here in 4 hours. FML
Today, I found out that I have to reschedule my upcoming honeymoon because my office will be understaffed that week, due to the boss going on vacation right after my wedding. Oh, yeah, and he's in my bridal party. FML
Today, I found out that my fiancé's parents are refusing to pay for a honeymoon, because they "didn't have one, so neither will we", meaning they won't pay for a single thing for our wedding. FML
You really shouldn't have
Today, I was awakened by knocking on my door, only to find my parents standing there. Turns out, they booked two one-way tickets to visit me from another country. Their plan? I should scrap my upcoming 2-week vacation to hang out because they invested in this trip. Oh, and they didn't book a hotel. I'm 31. FML
Today, my fiancée decided to go on a "vacation." Our wedding is tomorrow. FML
Run Hide Fright
Today, my husband and I are here on holiday in Rome, Italy. We both made chit-chat to an older couple who are staying at the same hotel as us. They've tried to spend everyday with us, even going to the same cafes and museums, where we are. We now try and avoid them; we end up hiding. We're here for another week. FML
Red flag
Today, my boyfriend bought us plane tickets to Mexico for our "Honeymoon". This would be nice if he had proposed and if we'd been dating for longer than 2 weeks. FML
Controlling
Today, two days into our honeymoon, my mother-in-law turned up at our Spa hotel and pretended it was a huge coincidence. We are an 8-hour flight away, yet she tried to claim she had a Spa coupon about to expire, from another country. Nice try Linda you nosy, interfering bitch. FML

How about just telling them no? you gotta set the boundaries early on, or they'll just do as they please and never respect you.

Just copulate aggressively and loudly the first night and see if they still want to join you for the next six days.

I would be so mad if that happened to me! Good luck with that OP!! I hope you still have a good time with your new wife!

no not good luck, OP you need to tell them no. Thats a very special time together, to be alone and in love, to bond as husband and wife! If they are there you will lose something intangible but very important. Find a way to say no, nicely but firmly. If they dont budge, take your spouse to a nearby island, cause really thats beyond intrusive and again its important to be ALONE together

@1: I must admit, you're the first I've seen to actually *assume* the married couple was gay. We're making history here, peeps!

agreed #18, honeymoons are specifically meant for the bride and groom. that's like the whole point. it's nice (not really) that the in-laws want to come along, but no. this is your and your new spouse's time to shine.

#24 she assumed that married couple was lesbian and not gay :p

27- Lesbian = gay
koganti 18
#30 Yeah, just came to know that the word "gay" includes lesbian. thanks.:)

Or, more likely, #1 mistook OP for a guy.

actually her husband or wife should say something about that. I mean is he or she okay with his her parents coming to their honeymoon? I would flip the shit out

Just tell your husband that it's fine and that you love spending time with his parents. But make sure he knows that this honeymoon doesn't count.

You should tell your future husband with his parents there you won't be able to get in the mood for any "honeymoon activities"

Ohhh boy, thay would be one lame honeymoon if there were no baby making taking place.

"no grandchildren for you!" maybe that will keep them away.

That's rough, OP. But hopefully you and your spouse can find some time alone. Make it a vacation for both couples - separately.

Best idea ever. You sure know how to win a power struggle between wife and mother-in-law.

Thumbed up for 'copulate'
