Today, my boyfriend and I broke up, and he came by to get his things while I was at work. When I got home I saw that the only thing he had taken was my cat. I only dated him for 5 months, I've had that cat for 14 years. FML
Today, my boyfriend of almost a year and a half broke up with me when he decided he wasn't in love with me anymore. We gave our stuff back, he was joking and happy the whole time until I told him I was taking back my cat. At that point he burst into tears. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me for no real reason via text message. A few hours later, she updated her relationship status on Facebook to "in a relationship." Her new "boyfriend"? Her cat. A mutual friend commented, "Well, he's better than that idiot you had before." FML

You moved in in less than three months? I almost say YDI for being so impulsive, but she definitely doesn’t have any right to your cat. Just go take it back. A “girlfriend” has no “right” to any of your belongings. Especially one of only three months.

You have only been dating three months how does she even have the cat? You didn't live together I presume (having dated for such a short time) so if she has gone to your house and taken it that would be theft.
