Today, after months of being pestered to do so, I finally read the first Harry Potter book. I hated it. Upon hearing this, my girlfriend posted the fact on Facebook, where I immediately received tons of abuse and eventual shunning by my friends, family, and coworkers. My girlfriend just laughed. FML

Today, I had to endure my girlfriend crying and screaming at me. The reason? I'm not able to please her like the fictional character Christian Grey in 50 Shades of Grey. When she left me, she took all her stuff and left me with copies of the three books. FML

so here's what i think. harry potter rules, but thats besides the point. do you guys *really* think that this guy was dumped by his gf (that is if they're adults) purely because he hasn't read the books. really? this is fml. its a website. for all we know this never happened. assuming that it did happen though, if all you people are going to get heated, lets use some common sense. I'm sure that they had more problems than that. and if it was because of harry potter, I'm sure it was more about his lack of effort in the relationship. not, I LUV HP!!!11!1!!!! && U DNT SO WER DUN...im sure this wasn't so 'fangirl' who's an 'idiot' or 'bitch' I'm sure there was much more than that. because really. how many people do you know that would realistically actually do something like this. on this website however, in order to get posted, the guy left it at this, which is much more absurd. but will you people stop freaking out about the hp fans and this woman, who I'm guessing didn't just dump this guy because he didn't read harry potter. k I'm done, i had to say that though.

hey op, no worries. obviously she (and apparently much of this site) are silly, mindless consumers. you don't want trash like that, that sort of obsessive quality tends to spill out into other areas. she's probably the "IF I CAN'T HAVE HIM, NO ONE CAN" sort. if it helps anyway, op, I read about 3-4 of them and found them so god awful that I never finished. the one or two decent characters didn't make up for how much I disliked it. I'm free to have my opinions, even if the majority seem to have their head up a certain brit's ass (the YDI count as evidence). people like your ex aren't worth concerning yourself with, and any rational being (regardless of whether they hated or absolutely adored the series) would agree.
