Today, my daughter cried for ages after finding out that Nick Amaro was written out of Law and Order: SVU. She barely reacted when I told her that her mom and I are getting a divorce. FML

She's losing Nick Amaro. She's not losing either of you.

I feel her pain, you cant lose detective amaro and not be sad.

I'm guessing she was hiding the immense pain from the divorce and bottling it up, and the one minor "problem" of law and order was the straw that broke the camel's back, and this is all of her pent up emotion coming out.

No, she probably just figures the divorce doesn't impact her, whereas she actually cares about the outcome of Law and Order.

Kids these days.

Are you that dense? I think the divorce might have something to do with it. Big news can take a while to sink in.

I think she is trying to come to terms with both happening...or her priorities are way off

Tell her to watch Cold Case. He's a main character on there and the genre is similar to Law and Order.

"The genre is similar" because all CSI and cop shows might as well be the same damn thing.

But it's Nick Amaro

I agree. I wish my parents would divorce for the longest time. Life was hell at home when they were both there.

Lol she's trying to cope with her broken family by disappearing into her TV shows, and you're just there judging her.

You don't understand. Nick is life
