Today, my daughter cried for ages after finding out that Nick Amaro was written out of Law and Order: SVU. She barely reacted when I told her that her mom and I are getting a divorce. FML

She's losing Nick Amaro. She's not losing either of you.

Dude Nick Amaro is such a lightweight... couldn't hold a candle to Christopher Meloni. I miss Elliot man.

You should be happy that your divorce isn't adversely affecting your daughter. The fact that she took your divorce well is the best possible situation.

What?! I just watched the season finale yesterday. Nothing was said about him leaving. More so benson leaving if she's promoted

Thanks for the spoiler

Omg spoiler?!?!

From a child's view you two divorcing may be considered good. Some children grow up with their parents constantly at each others necks, for some after hearing it for awhile you'd rather them apart. Though that might not necessarily be her case, as the other comments she may be dealing with it privately.

Thanks for the spoiler! Sorry about your divorce though.

meant divorce not parents! sorry

Possibility 1:She's trying to put on a good face and the stress is coming out in different ways. I remember when I had a house fire as a kid everyone was shocked at how little it seemed to concern me. Later that night when I was playing tick-tak-toe with my cousin I freaked out because they only had a pen and I wanted a pencil to play with. Stress can come out in weird ways. Possibility 2: Your relationship was toxic and she views the divorce as a wholly good thing, while the same can not be said for the actor leaving.
