Today, my dad took my car keys off my keychain and hid them from me. His reasoning was, "I don't want you to be driving during the winter." Guess who has to walk ten miles a day to work, through the New England snow. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, due to bad weather, my dad let me take his car to drive to my apartment 3 hours away. I only realized when I got there that my keys were still sitting on my parents' kitchen counter. FML
Drunken antics
Today, my dad got extremely drunk, so I took away his car keys and left on foot. When I came back, I saw that he had broken down my door. Now my dad is mad at me for not giving him the keys when he was drunk, and I'm door-less. FML
Today, I couldn't get to work because I couldn't find my car keys. It turns out, my mother took them and put them "somewhere safe." She can't remember where they are. FML
Helicopter parents
Today, my dad tried to confiscate my car keys because he doesn’t like how late I stay out on the weekends. I’m 26, have owned my own home since I was 24, and also how the fuck does he know what time I get home? My own dad is stalking me. FML
Today, I spent nearly half an hour clearing several inches of snow off my car. After almost suffering from hypothermia, I finished. Except the car keys were missing from my pocket, presumably buried under a foot of snow. FML
Today, I got fired. By my father. He wants me to drive him to work tomorrow. FML
Today, late for work, I called my dad to see if he knew where my keys were. Turns out he'd taken them on holiday with him because they have a bottle opener on them. FML
Today, a snow storm rolled into my small town, leaving my car stuck under 3 feet of snow. I called my boss to tell her I couldn't drive to work. Her reply? "Walk." FML
Today, I locked my keys in my car. I had a spare key in my wallet, that I also left in the car. FML
Today, after a week of looking for my car keys and being forced to drag my family around on public transportation, my wife found the keys in our car's ignition. FML

You should reason with him. That sounds quite a bit more dangerous than driving in the snow.

Make him walk 10 miles in the snow and cold one day and see how he likes it.

Take his keys and hide them. And tell him not to be a dick and you'll give him his back once he gives you yours

Is it all uphill too?

Does he pay for your car?! Otherwise you better get those keys back!?

If you have the VIN number you can go to your local car make dealership and have them make you a new key, I think you need proof of ownership as well. This could be cheap or over $100 depending on the type of key you have. I had to do this when my vindictive former roommate hid my keys. I suspect she threw them away as we never found them after we moved out (and yes we knew it was her since she also buried my other roommates phone under leaves in the front yard). It cost me $20 but I have an older car. Good luck OP.

The kind of reasoning should come with both an offer of a ride to work and one to teach you how to drive safely over snow, etc, so you can eventually drive yourself.

If the car is owned by him/he bought it for you: Stop being an entitled brat and whining about it and buy your own car... Can't really complain when they take away their property. If you bought it yourself: that's a rough position. But I'd just point out its your car that you bought with your money and it's not fair that he does that. At the end of the day though... His house. His rules. You'll have to deal with his decision.

The car is outside of the house, so "his house his rules" doesn't apply. Even if the car was somehow inside the house, the owner of a house does not have the right to downright control every behavior of everyone who lives in the house and take their belongings, that's abusive. Like, by all means set noise limits and cleanliness standards in your house, but there's a limit. Owning a house does not absolve you of your duty to respect other people's autonomy. If the OP doesn't have their own car it's probably because they can't afford one, so telling them to just buy a car isn't reasonable.

@60 Even if his/her dad bought him/her a car he doesn't have any right to control it. It's Op's car no matter who bought it.

Um... That's why you keep atleast 3 spares hidden around places only you know.

Hide his keys and see how he likes it.
