Today, my long-distance boyfriend of 3 years uttered the heartbreaking words, “I met this girl here in my hometown and she’s really great and we fell in love with each other, I can’t do this anymore. We’re over.” I was planning on moving to his town after graduation this year. FML
Today, my boyfriend of three years sent me a text message saying "It's over!" I sent him maybe a thousand texts saying "Why?", "What do you mean?!" After an hour of crying and whatnot, I realized he had driver's education today and that he was saying the class was over. FML
Today, I sent my boyfriend of three and a half years a text message spilling my heart out, saying I'll love him forever, and how much I appreciate him in my life, that I want to be the mother of his children, etc. His text back to me? "Are you drunk?!?" FML
Today, I heard my boyfriend of 3 months talking with his friend, not knowing I could hear them. "Tonight's the night," my boyfriend says. "I'm finally going to tell her I love her!" I got really excited, deciding i loved him too. Then his friend says, "Awesome! But what about Kayla?" I'm Kayla. FML

They were dating for three years before this. I'm going to give the poster the benefit of the doubt and say they were supposed to have been exclusive through most of that. Thus, he was cheating on her. And he's a dick.

Maybe he is ending it.. but what about the previous 3 years that he has most probably been cheating? would you stay with someone if the cheated on you?

First of all, he didn't say that he was definitely in love with her only that he "thinks he may be falling in love with" her. I'm sorry, but that's really not enough to go on. Secondly, he's been having sex with another woman for how long now? And if after three years of being together he didn't care enough for her not to do so, what happens the second he thinks he might not be in love with her? She's in this to get her heartbroken the matter how it ends

This is no way an FML, it isn't bad, are you joking? They were boyfriend and girlfriend for years, this text was meant to go to someone else and clearly implies that the boyfriend was seeing another woman romantically. Do you know what that means, it means he was CHEATING, which is BAD. He doesn't love, respect or even care for her if he can cheat. Which means this relationship would be incredibly unhealthy. Just cause you stop doing a bad thing, doesn't mean you're a good commendable person that deserves a second chance. Especially since the bf was obviously trying to hide his actions in this case, because he knew he was doing something wrong. If I rob stores and one day decide to stop, is that a good thing, yes, but I doesn't mean I'm a good person that shouldn't be punished, because shitty actions have consequences, and if I was truly an upstanding person, I wouldn't be committing the horrible act in the first place.

You should simply send him a text that says; "Aw honey, I love you too. Well, I did until I found out what a cheating asshole you are. Thanks for the heads up. Its over." That is what I would do. However, should you decide to stay with him, you need to have a long, serious conversation about his cheating. Then, ass kissing and swearing it will never happen again should commence. :) Goodluck
