Today, my boyfriend of 5 years dumped me, after he intentionally made me fat so that I wouldn't leave him. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 5 years dumped me because she got tired of me being thinner than her and, in her own words, making her look bad. FML
Today, my boyfriend sent me a text that said, "I can't be seen with you anymore. You're too fat." FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me because 'I look like his hamster when I'm eating sunflower seeds.' FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me because I've recently become serious about getting fit, and have lost nearly 84 pounds. Apparently, when I was fat, I made her look smaller in comparison. When I got slimmer, she insisted I either gain the weight back or she'd leave. So she did. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me because I'm now about 15 pounds overweight. When I called him a hypocrite as he's over 40 pounds overweight, he said that his weight didn't matter because "it's the girl's job to look hot." FML
Today, I proudly informed my boyfriend that I am now a size 4, down from an 18, after months of dieting and exercising after he told me he would like me to be a size 6. He broke up with me for "not listening to what he wanted" and "being an overachiever". FML
Today, I saw my long-distance boyfriend for the first time in 8 months. He dumped me on the spot because I was "uglier" than he remembered. FML
Today, my boyfriend of a year and a half informed me that he had "accepted" my stomach, even though it didn't conform to his "preference" for a flat stomach. He then added that his acceptance doesn't extend to my "chunky thighs". FML
Today, I was dumped by my boyfriend of almost a year because he was no longer sexually attracted to me because I'm "overweight," even though I only weigh 130 pounds. Afterward I went to my friend's house and sat in an old wooden chair. It broke into pieces as soon as I sat down. FML

After seven years he probably thought she was getting fatter every year thus realizing he's losing his attraction to her physically. People say it's the inside that matters but in reality, both are important. Anyone else who says otherwise is fooling themselves (or likes more to love, in which case, more power to them).

What I fail to understand: Weight doesn't come on overnight! In SEVEN years, there's plenty of time to notice a trend of changing, and talk to your partner honestly about it. I hate it when people collect a frustration over a long time rather than working it out as soon as it develops.

True, but it shouldn't count for everything. Personality and attitude counts more than anything. I'd rather have an average looking girl with a great attitude/personality than a hot girl with an awful attitude.

what they look like is part of who you are. if you like someone, and part of that relationship is based on physical attraction (which it should be), then their appearance changing would alter your thoughts about them.
