Today, my 24-year-old, unemployed brother stole all of my food money and went out with his friends. His punishment from our parents? He has to pay me back when he gets a job. My stomach has to wait. FML

Today, my 19-year-old brother broke into my dorm and robbed me. When I tried to file a report, my brother went to my parents and told them that he took it because I owed him money on a bet. Guess who lost $92.50. FML
Today, my brother finally paid me the $60 he owed me. I later found out that he'd stolen those $60 from my wallet. FML
Today, I slept through my alarm and decided to call in sick. After falling back asleep, I woke up to my younger brother robbing my kitchen. It seems he's been doing this for weeks, every time I leave for work. He won't even give it all back. FML
Today, I found out that my brother has been stealing money from me for the past five months. FML
Today, after moving in with a friend I've known for 9 years, I found out he's going to jail soon, and refuses to work or get a new job, making me unable to pay rent as he eats all my food. FML
Today, my brother who routinely marred my life by stealing from me, fighting me, and isolating me from my own family, made his hollow AA apology to me so he'll feel better. My parents employ him, bought his car and house, and pay his insurance. I've been in poverty. FML
Today, my grown up, unemployed boyfriend stole 70 dollars from my wallet and tried to hide it in two different places in case he needed to ditch me and go out by himself. He got angry when I confronted him and stormed out. He feels perfectly entitled. I work, pay rent and buy food. FML
Today, I found out my brother and his girlfriend stole my wedding ring, my checkbook and my disabled son's iPad to fuel their drug habit. I'm $600 overdrawn and have no food. FML
Today, my brother bamboozled me out of 20$. He's 12 years-old, and I'm 17. FML
Today, I returned home from a 2-day trip. Before I left, I told my brother to move my car across the street when the street cleaner passes by. Turns out, he used all my gas and got so wasted he forgot to move my car. I got a big ticket that he said he'd pay for. He's unemployed and lives off me. FML

Considering his brother is 24, it's more of a sibling/decency fail... At that age the parents really aren't able to enforce any punishment... Edit for gender fail

At 24 he's an adult, so I'm not sure there's much they can do in the way of punishment. More if he lives at home (but for instance a mobile/cell phone may be the number on his CV), nothing if he doesn't. Technically, OP could call the police.

While OP is an adult, I know that no matter what age I am at, my parents would help me out however they could. Just because you're over 18 doesn't mean you aren't their child anymore in my opinion.

So...take and pawn his stuff. And tell him you'll pay him back when he can pay you. Or he can get them out of pawn himself and you'll call it even. And then push your parents to explain, exactly, why that's not fair...logically....

Although that sounds like a good plan 24, lets be realistic. I imagine her brother doing much worse things if she pawned his stuff for money. Im not saying he doesnt deserve it, but that idea could be dangerous.
