Today, I woke up to a phone with most of my female contacts missing. I think I'm dating a psycho. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Freakout
Today, when I woke up I checked my phone for messages, only to hear a woman screaming that I have been sleeping with her husband and that she is sending her 'people' after me. I have never met said husband. I panicked for hours, only to receive a call telling me she had dialed the wrong number. FML
Rude awakening
Today, I woke up to the sound of my psycho ex trying to break down my apartment door. FML
Today, my paranoid wreck of a girlfriend read a text message on my phone from a woman asking if I was coming over for dinner. The woman was my mom. My girlfriend stormed out and hasn't answered my calls all day. FML
Asshat
Today, I’ve been getting increasingly more threatening calls and texts all day from the wife of the guy I was seeing. I had no idea she existed, and even sent her screenshots of the texts he'd sent me saying he was single. It didn’t deter this psychopath one bit. Now I’m scared to leave my house. FML
Overbearing girlfriend
Today, I woke up, thinking it was going to be a good day. However, when I looked at my phone, I saw that my girlfriend had sent me an obscene number of angry messages, which are still coming in, because I forgot to say goodnight to her last night. FML
Today, I found out someone, most likely my psycho ex, has been posing as me on local interest websites, trolling a load of people, and giving them my address so they can come fight me. I found this out when a gentleman showed up at my house wanting to beat me shitless. FML
Weird dude
Today, I found out that the threatening and insulting messages I received from my boyfriend's "stalker ex" were actually sent by him. Why? Because he cheated and he didn't want to admit it. I'm dating a psycho. FML
Today, my seemingly normal girlfriend decided to erase every girl's name out of my phone. Family and all. FML
Today, my boyfriend of two years told me I was being too obsessive. This is the guy who has gone through my phone two separate times and deleted all of my male contacts. FML
Today, my husband left his phone at home. I looked through his contacts and found a person named "The Bitch." Being very curious, I called "The Bitch" to see who it was. My phone rang. FML

Uhm why u gave ur phone in first place?? There's somethin called privacy
Steffi 26
OP's girlfriend could have just taken the phone without OP's permission.
Nina825 21
Shouldn't be a password on it?
ToxicTyrael 26
Psychos know how to do such thing...

My phone allows me to turn off the alarm without unlocking it. If you haven't checked in a while, you might wish to recheck. Perhaps the software has updated to allow this.

My boyfriend and I borrow each other phones all of the time. He likes to read the books on my kindle app and I like playing his games. To be fair, neither of us snoops.

I have a password because a psycho ex started to shit text my friends. I just kept it locked when I got a new boyfriend, he figured out my password and decided to do the same exact thing. Sneak around, take my friends numbers, and if I didn't text him, he'd text my friends asking where I was. Then he used to get defensive when I touched his phone lol. Passwords aren't always gonna save the day. :c

I'm torn on this one. If OP gave her the password, then it's completely YDI. If OP's girl sat down and worked out the permutations until it cracked, then it's an FYL.

Delete her contacts as well :) oh and get out of there ASAP

so why has no-one asked if there was a reason? maybe op broke her trust to begin with. you don't know what he's done and I doubt he'd mention that in an fml. just saying...
HighasaCloud 46
Then if she weren't spiteful, she would have left him instead of screwing with his phone. Seriously, who does that? What if OP had important business clients in his phone that happened to be female?
MommyTesta 9
just because someone cheats doesn't mean you just walk away. If you truly love a person you work on it. no-one gets over something like that over night. that's not called spite. that's called losing ones trust in a person. is what she did right? no. but it doesn't mean she may not have had a reasoning behind it. and all of you always jump the gun on leaving someone when they cheat. you must've never had a real relationship before. or really loved them. that's not how it works in the real world. hopefully a lot more of you could figure that out and maybe then the divorce rates wouldn't be so high, there wouldn't be so many single parents, etc. when things get hard y'all wanna leave instead of work through it and be a grown up.

#109: Secretly deleting someone's contacts isn't a good way to start rebuilding a relationship.
thatnewgirl 16
my boyfriend did that to me. doesn't mean they are psycho just don't want you cheating or talking to people they don't know or trust.
HighasaCloud 46
You are aware that OP is using a metaphor and doesn't mean his girlfriend actually suffers from psychosis, right? The type of person you just described is what OP is referring to. Also, why are you stating that like it's acceptable behavior?
ToxicTyrael 26
Maybe #61 consideres this as normal behaviour. Maybe she is very young and it's her first bf and she doesn't know any better.

61, your comment really worries me. You realize it's not ok for your boyfriend to act like that right? It's controlling. He doesn't need to know or trust the people you talk to, he just needs to know and trust you. That's how it works in a healthy relationship.
siggy_mcsigx 22
Yeah this is why controlling, obsessive behaviour should be taught in Health classes in high school. To outline ALL the signs of abuse. Because irrational jealousy has been mainstreamed now; the normalization of it has to be stopped.
Brandi_Faith 34
78, I never thought of that before, but it would be great if they could teach what an abusive relationship is like and what the warning signs are in school! A lot of people in high school are having their first serious relationship with a lot of emotions and passion (usually always thinking this is the one they are going to marry) and end up allowing unhealthy things such as extreme jealousy, being controlled/controlling, cutting off relationships with friends and only spending time together...it would be great if they also taught about what a healthy, well rounded relationship looks like too. Smart idea 78!

Thanks, 154! I remember it being briefly mentioned in my health class in high school, one year. But I wish that there had been a stupid presentation/research project on types of abuse that can go on in relationships (since when tested, the info goes in one ear, on the page, and out the other). I mean, they made us do it on assigned STI's and drugs. When doing online research on Types of abuse, it is very easy to come across informative lists; so they'd have a high chance of learning most signs in their own research, no matter what type they were assigned. In an ideal high school curriculum, students would be taught 1) sex ed (informative, and not abstinence-only like mine was) 2) the ole don't do drugs and drink blah blah 3) mental health/disorders 4) various abuses in relationships 5) gender and sexuality studies 6) physical health and fitness (NOT making people get weighed in front of others as a means of teaching the BMI, which is currently in place) Could probably be covered over all of 4 years, I think. Apologies for the lengthy post.

Ya... thank you #71 for standing up for me... I'm 17.. if you count that as very young but it's not my 1st boyfriend.... I think he's... 11?
dark_angel4121 12
The only person your partner needs to trust is you. Your boyfriend's behavior sounds controlling not "watching out for you". Who you talk to on your time is none of his business.
dark_angel4121 12
The 11th?!?! Honey at your age to have that many already is NOT a good sign. Look at the pattern of the kind of guy you date and change it. Continuing on this pattern will only lead to bad relationships later.

Lock your damned phone
ToxicTyrael 26
Throw hers out of the window for having male contacts in it. Then pack your stuff and leave when she's not there. Don't leave a note. Change your locks and simply ignore her. Try to get laid and make sure she knows it (afterwards of corse)
