Today, I went with my family to go see a notoriously creepy abandoned house. We noticed the people had left a lot of stuff behind so we loaded up the car with books, records, etc. As we were leaving, we saw the family who lived there drive up. I robbed a house with my grandma. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Oh, hi!
Today, I went to visit a friend I hadn't seen in ages who lives alone out in the country. I arrived and found the front door unlocked but no one was home. I went in anyway and helped myself to some food. Then a family I had never seen before came in, and I realized it wasn't my friend's house. FML
Safe travels, Grandma
Today, I had been planning a family trip for months. My father had all his bags packed, ready to go in the car. He had my grandmother's ashes in his suitcase, and planned to spread them on a mountain. This morning our car was broken into and everything was stolen. The thief stole my grandma. FML
Today, I went to pay my grandma a visit. She called the cops because she didn't recognize me and thought I was a robber. FML
Messy
Today, I was playfully walking back to my car with my girlfriend. My door was unlocked. I then noticed my car had stuff scattered inside. A bum had just robbed and ransacked my car. FML
Today, my grandkids went around my house claiming items to inherit. FML
Shackled
Today, I went over to confront my parents about how my siblings always get to visit and all I do when I’m over is work on their house or take care of grandma. My mom was very upset. Then she snuck out with my sister, leaving me to take care of grandma until she got back. FML
Always call first
Today, I went to visit my aunt who lives 6 hours away from me. Her car was missing from her driveway, but she's unemployed and barely leaves the house. Turns out, she moved in with her new boyfriend and didn't tell anyone, so I had to drive 6 hours back. FML
Today, I came home from work to find my grandmother in my living room, demanding to know where I'd been all day. I'm 22 and live by myself. She stole my mother's emergency key to get in. FML
Today, I enjoyed a lovely family dinner, but my irritating grandma kept trying to buy my purse off me, and kept picking it up to look at it. When I got home I realized all my cash and cigarettes were gone. FML
Today, I realized my family is the textbook definition of redneck after listening to my grandpa threaten to smash with an excavator the trailer that my uncle lives in behind our house if he didn't return the set of tires he had stolen and pawned from my grandpa's garage. FML

That is an interesting family outing. My family and I generally go to the park or the roller rink. Your family engages in criminal activity. Right on, OP.

How can you go into a house, notice it's full of stuff, and not realize it's lived in. Do you think empty houses furnish themselves, clean themselves, or purchase new things? Do you think ghosts drive? Even if a house looks like an ancient dive on the outside, and has an unkempt grown in yard, doesn't mean it's not lived in, and it's really not hard to tell whether a house is abandoned or not, there are clear signs to whether a place is being lived in, the power would be off if it wasn't lived in, there would be dust everywhere, fridges, and freezers would be empty, and not running among others. If it was actually abandoned, there would've been dust everywhere, no power, and the windows would've been bashed in more likely than not. I hope you get caught, or turn yourself in, and learn your freaking lesson into the future. Also, in small rural communities of Alberta, there's a lot of old run down houses that have the "haunted", and abandoned look due to age, but are still being lived in, often by senior couples who can't get around to doing yard work, or repairs anymore, and don't have living relatives around to do it for them. Use common sense please. Don't go barging into houses you don't own, no matter how funny you think it may be to do, stay out of other houses unless you get freaking invited.
