Today, knowing my long-distance boyfriend was cheating on me with a local girl, I decided to make a surprise visit to confront him by showing up to his home. Both of them answered the door. My boyfriend claimed to not know me, and threatened to call the cops. I ended up back at the airport in tears. FML
Today, I went to my boyfriend's work to surprise him. When I got there, I called him on his phone to tell him to turn around. I saw him look at his phone. His co-worker next to him asked who that was. He replied, "Just this fat chick I know." FML
Today, I wanted to surprise my boyfriend by showing up at his place unannounced with some take-out food. I got there just in time to see him leave his block of flats with another girl. FML
Today, my long distance boyfriend sent me a Snap of him fucking another girl. When he realized he'd sent it to me, he called me, trying to explain, "it's not what it looks like. It was meant for the boys." Two days ago, I made plans to visit him. Guess who's out money and single. FML
Today, I decided to surprise my boyfriend at his college and when I walked into the dorm he was lying in his bed with another girl. When he saw me he simply said, "April Fool's!" It's March 19th. FML
Today, I paid my long-distance boyfriend of 4 years a surprise visit. I entered his house and he got irrationally angry, asking why didn’t I tell him beforehand. Moments later, a female voice yelled, "Babe come back to bed!" FML

I never understand why people pull surprises like this. I’m sorry you discovered this, but what if he had innocent plans with friends, or really needed to study? Your “surprise” would have been an unwanted intrusion.

ScarletteEve, I wasn't trying to be funny this time. I find this whole surprise thing annoying. I find the prospect of a surprise party horrifying! If your friends and family can conspire behind your back for a fun purpose, they could do it just as easily for a bad one.

surprises can be bad or good depending on the person and how they personally feel about surprises. I think the other person in the relationship is the only one who can determine if it would be a good or bad thing. but either way, while it sucks this happened, at least she found out. now she gets to stop wasting her time on a pig that probably would have never even told her about the infidelity had she not walked in.
