Today, I went to a social event with a very attractive male co-worker. Things were going awesome, we were flirting and really hitting it off. Then his 'wife' called. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Mega creep
Today, I met a new guy at work who wouldn't stop hitting on me. We ended up on a six-hour shift together watching a pool, so we were wearing nothing but bathing suits when he began grabbing me inappropriately. When I confided in my female coworker about it, she told me that he was her husband. FML
Hit and miss
Today, a guy was hitting on me when I was at a café. I told him I was married, but it didn't deter him, so I told him to go away. Later, my husband came home from work with his boss for dinner and sure enough, it was the same guy who was hitting on me. Suffice to say, it was one awkward dinner night. FML
Undercover
Today, I was talking to this girl I really like at my work. Everything was going fine until our boss called me into his office. Apparently I was being a little too flirty with his daughter. FML
Get out
Today, my husband came home from work in a bad mood. Why? He found out that a certain female coworker of his isn't single anymore. FML
Today, after months of hardcore flirting with this incredibly attractive guy, he invited me to hang out. At which point he introduced me to his boyfriend. FML
Work husbands and work wives
Today, I went to my husband’s work party where employees could bring a plus one. There, I met the colleague he talks so much about. She looked noticeably disappointed and said to my husband, “Wife?! You told me you were single!” We’ve been married for 7 years. FML
There's no such thing as a coincidence
Today, I ran into my husband and his mistress. He was picking her up at the airport. I was catching a flight to a conference with my boss. He had flowers for her, and his arm around her. My boss knows my husband as well. FML
Today, I went to my husband's work to give him lunch. His assistant told me his "wife" was in his office. FML
Today, after what I thought was several weeks of flirting with a coworker, I asked her out on a date. She asked if it could be a double date, and I said yes. I brought a friend, she brought her husband. FML
Today, I tried hitting on the new receptionist at work. After a few flirtatious comments and subtly hinting that I thought she was bangable, she informed me that she's married to our boss. FML

any man who would accept a phone call from their wife is obviously not trying to hide anything- therefore, probably always wears his ring- therefore, YDI for not doing a ring check

Meh. I think that often one person considers it "flirting" while the other person is just trying to be sociable. It could be only the OP thought they were "really hitting it off" while the dude just thought he was being friendly.

First off, the dude wasn't cheating on his wife. I mean, I personally don't constitute talking to another person as "cheating". And anyway, I think this person took his talk the wrong way. This could have been simple small talk for the guy, but because the OP found the man to be attractive, of course she would interpret it as flirting. It's all objective, and the OP probably made it sound biased.

I think this was a date and he was cheating. Therefore, fyl and I hope you'll find a nice singel guy :)

If he really was cheating, why would he take a call from his wife halfway through the so-called "date"? If he were *trying* to cheat, wouldn't he take the call and then tell OP it was just some friend of his? How the hell is this an FML? Going to a social event with someone does not constitute a date! I doubt OP even thought it was a date, as they would probably have mentioned it in the FML (i.e. "Today, I went on a date with a coworker"; or, "Today, I went on what I thought was a date"). It seems to me like OP thinks their life is ****** just because a guy she flirted with has a wife.

Awesome is an adjective, not an adverb. Just for using truly horrible language you really deserve this and far worse.

wtf? She didn't use it as an adverb.. Go kill yourself dude.

It's true that she didn't use an adverb, and that's precisely the problem. She tried to use a predicate adjective when she'd already used a participle. The two are incompatible. The phrase would've worked had she said, "things were going [awesomely]," or, "things were awesome." Note that the word "awesomely" is entirely optional in the first example - you either go with it or go without it; the word "awesome" doesn't work in that case. Unfortunately, the sentence is a run-on since she apparently doesn't know the differences between a comma and a semicolon. I find this latter issue to be more annoying than the previous problem.

Not all men wear their wedding rings, my father doesn't because he doesn't like jewelery, at all. XD I do think it was a date type situation because she said she went "with" him to a social event, like a party I assume. FYL OP.

true. my hubby doesn't wear a ring because his finger is too damn skinny.

Oh, pimpin88 and his prepubescent nonsensical rambles. I can always count on you when I forget about the amount of idiocy and ignorance in the world. I hope that you never grow up and pull your head of your ass, and can maintain your innocent stupidity forever. Just never vote, mind you.

So did he nail you after he hung up with her? I hate these FMLs where the real story is what happens NEXT and they don't tell it.
