Today, I went downstairs completely naked to get water, completely forgetting that my daughter had a sleepover and they were in the living room. The ice dispenser woke some of them up, including my daughter. FML

Today, I woke up to my daughter crying, and my son running through the living room completely naked with her bottle, laughing his head off. FML
Today, I was babysitting my co-worker's son. He was eating Jell-o and spilled it on his top, so I pulled off his PJ's, and went in his room to grab a new pair. I heard a thunk and ran to find him out cold on the floor. His parents walked in on me trying to wake up their naked 3 year-old. FML
Today, I was trying to sleep when I saw a head looming from the darkness with no eyes and a mouth open like a silent scream. I just froze and pissed myself. It was my daughter wanting to cuddle with us. Alas, the bed was wet, so she got put back in her bed, while we had to share the sofa downstairs. FML
Today, the cops were called to my apartment because my daughter had a temper tantrum while I was at work. She was naked when they were there. FML
Today, while in a hotel, I left the room to get some ice. Since my parents left the door wedged open, I didn't worry about trying to find the room number. Without thinking, I walked in to another room that was also wedged open. Yes, there were people in it, and yes, they were both naked and hairy. FML
Today, my husband thought it'd be funny to trigger the alarm in the house while I was sleeping. Shocked, I ran outside naked. FML
Today, my mom woke me up and asked if I wanted breakfast. I had passed out naked on the kitchen floor after a party. FML
Today, I was in the middle of a shower, and downstairs I heard my 7 year old daughter screaming "Mom!! Help! I need you right now!" I panicked and ran downstairs, not giving myself enough time to put some clothing on. It was my neighbor at the door. FML
Today, I woke up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water. Groggy and disoriented, I bumped into several pieces of furniture and made a lot of noise. My dad woke up, mistook me for a burglar, and knocked me out with his fist. FML
Today, I flooded my entire kitchen. The water was cut off at night and I left the faucet open without realizing. When the sound woke me up at 5am, the water reached my ankles. I frantically tried to sweep it out before my mother woke up at 6am. I didn't make it. FML

There's a thing called a bathrobe, might want to get one and hang it on the back of your bedroom door. I'm no prude and sleeping nekkid is fine, but if you've got kids and they're old enough for sleep overs, they probably are old enough to be uncomfortable with parental nudity.

You have at least one kid, why are you walking around naked at all? I understand some people may be okay with nudity and naturists etc, but there's a certain age where you need to show modesty around your kids. Put some clothes on man.

While I understand the whole "Your house, your rules" deal that some are inevitably going to state, there's a major problem with this. You have at least one kid, and a daughter at that. That alone says you should be at least sufficiently covered. No kid wants to see their parents naked, no matter how "natural" it is. You are supposed to be a civilized, mindful person. Sorry but I have to say you deserve it and I pity the kids who have to live with that memory. You better hope DCF doesn't get wind of this.

I've grown up seeing my parents naked, and I've never had a problem with it. Although it's embarrassing for your child's friends to see you naked, if you're used to walking around your own home in the nude I can see how you might forget. There's no problem with being naked, and I think people need to stop being so uptight about it. It's nothing you haven't seen before.

Exactly, I have too! So I am used to it and I'm about to be 18. The person who posted this clearly said they forgot that their daughter had a sleepover, for the people who said they shouldn't expose their kids friends. I at least hope this parent isn't the dad.

Sharp enough to not walk downstairs naked when there are other people in the house, yes. As are most civilised humans. You don't have to completely get dressed, just at least a bathrobe or underwear.
