Today, I told my boyfriend that I gained a few pounds and thought I looked fat. He replied that I looked the same and that I shouldn't worry because he likes fat girls. I never thought I was fat before this. FML
Today, I was telling my boyfriend about how self conscious I am and how I obsess about my weight. He said, "Don't be ridiculous, you don't need to lose THAT much weight." FML
Today, the guy I've recently started seeing confided that he's relieved I'm on the heavier side, and that he has a thing for watching chubby women eat. I just reached my ideal weight after losing 40 pounds. FML
Today, I was hanging out with my boyfriend. Everything seemed to be going well, when all of a sudden he turned to look at me with a pensive and thoughtful expression. I expected him to say something important, but instead he just said, "I was wondering, how does it feel to be fat?" FML
Today, my chunky boyfriend told me that he'd be less attracted to me if I gained weight. I have low self-esteem. FML
Today, I noticed that I've been gaining some weight. Don't worry, my boyfriend doesn't mind. His new favorite thing is putting my boobs on his head and saying he feels "safe". FML
Today, my very handsome, fit, Russian boyfriend tried to make me feel better about being a little overweight by telling me, "It's okay, you're American, everyone expects you to be fat." FML
Today, my boyfriend let me know that when we met, he wouldn't have even talked to me if I was as fat as I am now. But lucky for me, he stays with me because, "there's love or something." FML
Today, I told my boss about a coworker that had been hitting on me. She looked me dead in the eye and said "I was afraid that would happen. He's a bit of a chubby chaser." FML
Today, I asked my boyfriend to honestly tell me if I had become overweight. He replied that yes, I had, but that it was OK because I was his "Lumpy Space Princess." FML

1- YDI for whining to your boyfriend about your weight. We effing HATE that. 2- Your life is not effed, because now you can relax and eat a whole pizza to yourself every once in a while, without your bf being all, "eww, you're getting chunky."

Whining about your weight is only excusable if you have a thyroid problem or you're in the process of losing it. The first three weeks of a new diet don't count. Either lose the extra pounds or deal with it.

You kinda deserve it because if your so self conscious about your weight then why don't you do something about it? You're lucky you have such a kind boyfriend. Would you seriously prefer it if he had of said 'don't be silly, you're tiny' when you know for a fact you're not. You must lead such a hard life having a boyfriend that obviously cares for you, finds you attractive and doesn't lie to make you feel better, but instead tells you the truth AND that he loves you because of it, not in spite of it.

I get that we live in a culture in which being fat is unacceptable, but there's really nothing wrong with being chubby or even fat. You're much better off eating well and being active for yourself and your health than with the goal of losing weight, and accepting yourself for you you are. Clearly your boyfriend does..

she wouldn't be fat if she was healthy and ate right, she would only be slightly overweight (which still isn't good, but some people, esp. those that were fat growing up can't get the weight off). OP should not accept herself if she is fat or even chubby, she should try to improve herself. Having said that, she should not expect to become underweight, seeing as that is just as unhealthy, and she should still love everything else about her (e.g. if she is smart, orfunny, or has pretty eyes) But being fat (or chubby) is not acceptable because there are serious health issues involved with being overweight, and in todays society it is more acceptable to be heavier, even pant sizes have gone down (but are increasing in size) to make us feel better about getting fatter, which is a serious issue in modernized populations

This sounds like it's another crappy fml in the making.. Soon I'm goin to see something like she loses a bunch of weight and her bf breaks up with her because he doesn't find her attractive anymore.. Man I hope so
