Today, I was taking an order for a patron at the casino. The policy is to "pay first." After explaining this to him, he still refused to pay. After years of being polite, I finally cracked and said, "You are making this really f-ing difficult". This particular patron was our CEO's son. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Slot machine addicts
Today, I'm working in hospitality. I was serving a customer when another customer came up to cash in from the pokies. I told them I'd be there in a minute, and they said OK. By the time I got to them, they were complaining to my boss. Guess whose side was taken? FML
Today, a customer told me that there was no way he was paying for his shopping. He then walked off. As it turns out, the customer IS always right. FML
Today, a customer came into McDonalds and placed his order. He insisted on putting each coin on the counter rather than handing them straight to me, because he doesn't like touching "poor people". FML
Tipped off
Today, I was taking a table's order. After I finished, the guy told me, "Just FYI, I'm not a tipper." Trying to lighten up the situation, I replied, "It's amazing how many people forget I handle their food." He complained to the manager that I'd threatened him. FML
Tipping point
Today, I was taking out a customer's groceries when he offered me a $5 tip. I told him I couldn't accept, since it's against store policy, but thanked him anyway. He called me an asshole just as my boss was walking to his car, who then yelled at me for it. FML
Today, a customer was rude to me, and I was rude back. He then asked for my manager, and I told him I was the store manager. He then identified himself as the corporate owner. FML
Difficult
Today, as a restaurant manager, I had a large party of difficult guests. They sat in their private room they'd reserved for three-and-a-half hours, then caused a huge scene when it was time to pay. One guy even ran at me like he was going to hit me. FML
Date night
Today, I got into a heated argument at a restaurant with a guy I am seeing because he refused to let me pay for the bill and I thought it was sexist. When he finally agreed, I gave the waiter my card, only to have him return a minute later telling me it was declined. FML
Today, at the restaurant I work at, my own mom refused to give a tip and complained to my boss. FML
Today, I was doing takeout orders at the restaurant I work at. I spent a long while putting together this guy's $135.00 order. When he finally got there to pick it up, I told him to fill out the credit card slip. I looked at it after he left. He gave me a 40 cent tip. FML

Man that sucks. But the spoiled little **** had no reason to be rude. If he was the CEOs son he would've already known the policy. He was trying to get on your nerves for sure! Sorry OP. :(

I think "I can't serve you then" would have sufficed

How unlucky. ._. I understand how stressful it can be sometimes working with people, but we have to suck it up and not take it to heart. I hope you didn't lose your job.

I get ya. I work in customer service and sometimes, you just want to punch ******* in the throats. But sometimes it's better to say, "I can't serve you then" and walk away.

Unfortunately people lose it over swear words. Next time don't swear at least. Hopefully you learned your lesson.... Some customers suck but telling them off is not worth the consequences.

if you had actually said the F-bomb, that'd be one thing. But 'f-ing' gets you in trouble? Little brat needs to go to hell. And I feel for you. I've been in similar situations on both ends multiple times, and I agree it sucks.
