Today, my neighbour casually mentioned that he sold my car's GPS that I'd let him borrow. He figured I wouldn't be needing it anymore since I lost my license. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found a guy getting out of my car with my GPS. He started running and I chased him. We eventually reached a dead end and he gave it back to me. I took it back from him and said, "Sorry..." FML
Today, my car was stolen. From my driveway. By the guy who sold it to me. FML
Where are you?
Today, after months of working on our relationship, my ex asked to borrow my car. After many hours and phone calls to see where he was, he still wasn't back. I decided to check my car's GPS and found him at my friend's house. He tried to deny that it was her house, when I've been there multiple times. FML
Friends in need
Today, I was on good terms with my ex, and I thought we were going to get back together. I let him use my car to go back to his place after being at mine. I checked the GPS log and saw a familiar address. I then found out he was using my car for booty calls with someone I considered a friend. FML
Today, I got a well paying job that requires me to drive around and present a product to potential customers. After going out for a victory meal with friends, I came home to find my car broken into, and my GPS stolen. I need it for the job. FML
Today, after a couple of months of enjoying an informal parking arrangement with a local bank, I found out they sold their extra lot without telling me. The new owner's towing company heard about the deal, though. FML
Today, I borrowed a roommate's car to get groceries. I came out to find the car stolen. I called the cops, and the responding officer took the info and drove me home to give the roomie the bad news in person. 15 minutes later, they found the car. I'd parked it on the opposite side of the lot. FML
Dude, where's my car?
Today, I heard that my ex wrecked my car. He'd "borrowed it" and has had it for 2 months. He refused to return it. I went to the police and they went behind my back and "attempted" to retrieve it yesterday, without me. This just caused him to run away. FML
Today, my boss reported to the police that a suspicious car has been parked outside the store late at night. I walked outside and my car was gone. He had my car towed. FML
Caught
Today, my car went missing. My sister constantly asks to borrow it, so I called her and asked if she had it. She swore blind that she didn't, so I called the cops and reported it stolen. They soon caught her driving the stolen vehicle. She blames me and is now telling everyone I set her up to be arrested. FML

Would a $10,000 lawsuit over a $200 GPS really be worth it #1?

There's something called "small claims" court. Don't know if a lawyer would be necessary, but it's not unusual for people to sue over things like this, and I think OP should definitely look into it.

Why does this have so many negative votes?
hippo1234 19
Missing punctation and bad grammar, along with the fact that a lawyer has already been mentioned, are the likely causes of his downvotes.

So why does #38 have negative votes?
Saikon1357 25
Because #38 is justifying the acts of grammar nazis.

and 45 is going against the grammar nazis warranting his downvotes. The joys of fml ;)

Don't worry, he can use the money he got from it to buy you a new one!

Sell one of his Kidneys as he only needs one to live.

Same with a lung, and most of his intestines, and his appendix, a leg or two, a brain that isn't being used..... Or maybe just the kidney. That's a bit simpler.
lux0rd 18
You could probably get a good price for his brain since it seems to be unused and in mint condition.
lux0rd 18
Same with his heart.
ddlovatolover 23
No I don't think you'll get much for his brain, it seems a little defective to me

You should get him to pay you back or buy you a better one

Sell his car, under the reasoning that he won't know where he's going without a GPS.
lux0rd 18
I doubt the neighbour has a car since he was borrowing OP's car. Edit: I read the FML that the car including GPS was borrowed not just GPS.
slyde32 12
try a third time, it was an after market GPS, like a navman, not the car and GPS
False_Stupidity 42
Use the neighbors own logic against him, Sell his car since he won't need it anymore because he is going to jail.
hobojo69 23
What the heck? Who does that?? Like why even borrow one if you're just gonna sell it?
