Today, I was in class and I smelled what I thought was month-old trash coming from a student in front of me. I politely ignored the smell, only to realize a few hours later that the persistent smell wasn't coming from every student in my university, but was from my shoes. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, as I was getting ready to go to class, I accidentally stepped in dog poop. I was in a hurry, so I scraped it off as best as I could. When I go to class, I noticed it smelled. The girl behind me noticed and said, "Mmmmm, smells like food in here." FML
Today, I was running around the track at school PE with a lot of other students. I noticed a guy who smelled really bad and I thought to myself how disgusting that was and I felt bad for him. Later, I was changing and caught a whiff of my shirt. It wasn't him who was smelly. FML
Today, I was walking into class when the guy i like walked in and said "Gross it smells like grandma in here. What, did someone bathe in their perfume today?" I was the only girl in the room and I just bought new perfume. I thought I smelled good, apparently I didn't. FML
Today, while in class, I noticed that someone had really bad B.O. I was seated next to an extremely ill-mannered girl, so I figured it was her, and thought to myself that if it happened again, I'd tell her off. Once I got home and took off my jacket, I realized it was me. I forgot to put on deodorant. FML
Today, I was in class and noticed that it smelled strongly of cat urine. I smelled my shoulder and realized that my cat had peed on my sweater. I had six hours of classes left, and the smell had permeated my shirt. FML
Today, a kid in class kept chatting to his friend, and was made to swap seats. Every time the guy he swapped with moved, the stench from his armpits wafted over. It smelled like nacho cheese crossed with ball sweat. It got so bad that I eventually had to go dry heave in the toilets. FML
Today, I got a new roommate in the dorms. When I got back to my room, I could smell her feet before I even opened my door. FML
Today, I finally found out what the weird sour smell that's been in my dorm room for a while is. My roommate's sweat. FML
Today, I went to the mall with some friends. We all kept smelling this god awful B.O. smell and had no idea where it was coming from. On the car ride home, we all figured out it was actually me. FML
Today, I arrived at work early. I noticed the plants on the side of my classroom could use some water so I went out to do so. On the way, I found a beer can. Not wanting the kids to see it, I picked it up but some spilled on my dress. I quickly noticed a familiar smell. No, not beer. Urine. FML

The way he stated it made me think it took around 10ish people or more to realize that's what popped into my mind. In my comment I meant I though he would realize after the first two or three people. So while you are correct he did do that I assumed he took longer than he should have to realize it.

When I was in middle school, there was a girl who always wore flip flops everyday, the standard foamy kind. Rain or shine. Needless to say, her feet began smelling like ass, from I guess all the moisture and grit. A group of us politely took her to the side and told her- incase she had gotten used to the smell or something and was unaware. We got in trouble for 'picking on her'.

I've been there - walking through a puddle can be a quick way to leave your shoes stinking to high heaven (depending on the material). It's embarrassing but just get a new pair of shoes and you'll be fine tomorrow

My feet/shoes used to smell a lot as a kid. Instead of buying new shoes all the time, my mom bought this special powder that you sprinkle into the shoes and gets rid of the smell. Every day i would come home and sprinkle the stuff in my shoes and it made my shoes (and feet) stop smelling. I think you can get this sort of product at the drug store op. You could also try washing your shoes in the washing machine if all else fails.

socks can be the reason for the smell. I know a few that have problems with their socks. not always the shoe.

Usually if you wear shoes without socks your feet and shoes really stink. I found this out myself on a long hiking trip without socks. Usually I hike with socks and never get stank like that lol

I have a similar problem with my work shoes, run them through a washing machine if they'll survive it, febreeze them and put tea bags in them when you're not wearing then
