Today, I was at a pool party with some friends. They grabbed and lifted me in the air, about to throw me in the pool. My iPhone was in my pocket, so I screamed "MY PHONE!" They paused so I could gently throw it onto a deck chair. It bounced, hit the concrete, and cracked its screen. FML

Today, my boyfriend threw me into his pool. I had my phone and iPod in my pockets. FML
Today, I was being pulled into a pool by my girlfriend. To avoid ruining my phone, I tossed it into one of the chairs behind me. I missed and it landed into the hot tub behind it. FML
Today, I threw my brand new iPhone 4 in the air whilst laying on my bed. It came down, went through my fingers, landed on my balls, then broke on the concrete floor. FML
Today, to keep my phone safe while I went on some rides, I took it out of my pocket so I could put it in my bag. Just as I pulled it out, a woman ran into me, knocking my phone to the ground and breaking the screen. FML
Today, I used a prank app, where you shake the cell, and it makes the screen looks cracked. I ended up losing my grip on the phone. It went flying, and it is now cracked for real. FML
Today, I was hosting a pool party, when my husband and his friends got the bright idea of lighting one of the party balloons on fire. Needless to say, it immediately exploded. In shock, he jumped back straight into me, sending me and my $400 cell phone splashing into the pool. FML
Today, I was at the pool with two boys I babysit. The eldest wouldn't get out of the pool so I pretended to call his dad. He then ran out of the pool, pushed me down, grabbed my phone, chucked it into the pool and then ran back into the pool. FML
Today, after calling the insurance plan for my new iPhone a "huge waste of money", I promptly dropped it in the store while trying to put it into my pocket, cracking the screen. FML
Today, while trying to find my phone in the depths of the sheets on my bed, I gave my comforter a huge shake. A second later, I heard a crash. My phone had miraculously flown straight into the glass of water on my nightstand. Found it. FML
Today, I got home and threw my phone onto my bed as usual. This time it bounced out the window. FML

totally agree with u 41!!!! I have an otterbox and it has also saved my iPhone a number of times!! it's also purple and not that unattractive. it also helps to have a screen protector.

108- It may have been a public pool. I went to a couple of outdoor parties at public pools. not everyone can afford a nice pool and deck( not meant offensively ).

2. I agree. My otterbox has saved my phone many times including a 10 foot drop onto a concrete hangar floor. No damage at all including the box itself. Never leave home without it.

Otter boxes can be bad for your phone too. Well the ones that are supposed to "seal" out moisture. The seal doesn't always work, and when any moisture gets past the seal, it stays in the phone causing damage

I love my otter box. Yes it makes the phone bulky but it has deffinately saved my phone. My father ran his over with his Buick by accident, had absolutely no damage to it.

Agreed since insurance will cover a cracked phone and not water damage...unless you don't have issuance but then you can sell the broken one and buy a new one and still have money left over. They did you a favor.
