Today, my boyfriend and I were out shopping. As he was trying on shirts, I told him that the particular shirt he was wearing looked ugly. He turned around, sighed, and said "You think? Well, your face is ugly, but you don't see me complaining about it." He was serious. FML
Today, I was in the car with my husband complaining about the way I look. His response, "Babe, if I cared about the way you looked I wouldnt have married you." FML
Today, I asked my husband if he thought I was pretty. He replied "compared to what?" He was serious. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he loved me. I asked why, and he said, "Because sometimes you look good, and you buy me stuff." FML
Today, my boyfriend told me the reason he dated me was because he was lonely, and I looked lonely enough to like him. FML
Today, I was feeling really down, so I texted my boyfriend and asked him to tell me why he loves me, thinking he would cheer me up. His response? "Don't bug me with this stupid shit anymore. You always ask such dumb questions." FML
Today, after asking my boyfriend multiple times to be more kind and romantic, he looked at me lovingly and said, "You know, you look pretty sometimes." FML

Today, I was hanging out with my boyfriend. Everything seemed to be going well, when all of a sudden he turned to look at me with a pensive and thoughtful expression. I expected him to say something important, but instead he just said, "I was wondering, how does it feel to be fat?" FML

Your boyfriend loves you for who you are, not what you look like. How is this a bad thing? It's possible he finds you attractive, but meant you weren't the world's most attractive girl. However, if you want to make yourself more attractive to him, why not ask him what he doesn't like? It might be something you can easily fix... Like maybe just making a bit more of an effort for nights out, or losing a small amount of weight. Or you can just leave it the way it is because he's already said that he loves you regardless. It might also be that he was joking and you couldn't see that...

1990TD - I never called her ugly either. The bf implies she isn't hot with his comment. But there's a whole range from stunningly attractive to ugly, it might be that the OP is in the middle (and if the pic the OP has is real, then she's quite good looking anyway) and that she's attractive enough to her bf, but not at the highest end of his scale.

Daminantion - Tbf, she did just say she didn't think he loved her, so I think we can forgive his wording. Because I doubt he was feeling particularly brilliant after that.
