Today, I texted my mom asking how she was doing. Apparently she's great, and on her honeymoon. I didn't know she was getting married, or that my parents had just gotten divorced. FML

Today, I found out that my mom and dad got a divorce. They didn't tell me, they just changed their relationship status on Facebook. FML
Today, my mom called asking for advice on how to flirt with her personal trainer. I thought she was joking and asked her what Dad would think. Turns out they're getting divorced. They decided this three weeks ago. No one told me. FML
Today, my dad asked me to send my mom a text since he was driving and I was in the passenger seat. I pulled up my mom's contact on his phone, and I found that my mom had recently sent my dad a picture of her jugs, along with the message, "We miss you." FML
Today, I got a text from my mom that said, “I’m so proud of you!” I immediately replied, “Thanks, Mom!” Then I realized it was meant for my sister, and my mom had accidentally texted me instead of her. FML
Today, my boyfriend proposed. I was about to call my parents and tell them we're getting married, but they called me first to announce they're getting a divorce. FML
Today, I checked my mom's email to track a package I'm waiting to receive. Instead, I found out my mom canceled the order, and that my parents are getting a divorce and have been fighting via email for weeks. FML
Today, my mom finally learned how to text. Now it's her way of communicating, even when we're in the same room. FML
Today, I texted my dad and told him I was getting married in five months. His reply? "I gotta work that day." FML
Today, I was texting my mother after my boyfriend broke off our relationship. She offered incredibly supportive replies such as "No, really?" and "Aww, that sucks." before apparently getting bored and claiming she had to go because her "text reception" was breaking up. FML
Today, I returned home from my honeymoon and met my dad for coffee. He told me he's been seeing someone and he's so happy. It's my new mother-in-law. They moved in together during my wedding weekend. FML

Yeah because it's impossible for her mother to call her first... You don't just wait for your child to call you before you bother telling them that you are divorcing their father, you call them first or actually grow a backbone and say it to their face.

I was actually thinking it may be a second honeymoon. Some couples do it for their anniversary. I could easily be wrong though.

Than* In OP's defense, my parents divorced and my dad re-married about 6~ months later give or take. (I don't know when the divorce was legally finalized.) I knew they were going to divorce, but if I had done my own thing for a few months I could have very easily missed it. Sometimes I go a few weeks/months without contacting them just because we live our own lives and don't feel the need to update each other every week. But maybe we're just a weird reclusive family.

My dad hasn't by any means cut me out of his life and he does call me from time to time, but if I don't make an effort to contact him he'll usually give me my space until is come around. But he knows I'm really adventurous and sporadic so I tend to go several months without contacting anyone with regards to what I've been doing.

It sucks hearing after. my mom didnt yell me she got married until 6 weeks later, and I had called her almost everyday because I was on vacation. to make it worse, it was a split secomd decion in ~vegas~
