News to me
Today, I checked my mom's email to track a package I'm waiting to receive. Instead, I found out my mom canceled the order, and that my parents are getting a divorce and have been fighting via email for weeks. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my mom asked me to take my dad's mail to him. The "mail" was divorce papers. FML
Today, I found out that my mom and dad got a divorce. They didn't tell me, they just changed their relationship status on Facebook. FML
Today, I finally read an email I'd been avoiding. I thought it would be from my dad whom I haven't spoken to in years, and that he was checking on me during the pandemic. It turned out to be spam. The last contact I had with anyone related to my dad was one of his ex's friends, saying she was in jail and needed help. FML
Today, my mom blocked me on everything, kicked me out of her house, and declared that I'm "dead to her." Why? She ordered a package, but it never came. I’m still trying to process how that could possibly be my fault. FML
Today, I texted my mom asking how she was doing. Apparently she's great, and on her honeymoon. I didn't know she was getting married, or that my parents had just gotten divorced. FML
Today, I found out about my parent's divorce over Facebook from my sister who lives 8 hours away in another province. They made the decision 3 weeks ago. I live with my parents. FML
Today, my mom called asking for advice on how to flirt with her personal trainer. I thought she was joking and asked her what Dad would think. Turns out they're getting divorced. They decided this three weeks ago. No one told me. FML
Today, I found out that my mum has been texting my ex-boyfriend to tell him what a dick he is. FML
Today, I got a phone call from my mother asking me if I was okay. Confused, I asked her what she meant. She then told me that my boyfriend had broken up with me, and she just wanted to make sure I was handling it alright. I had to find out my relationship was over from my mom. FML
Today, I checked my inbox and realized I got an email from a potential employer, saying they were having trouble getting a hold of me by phone. They called while my mom was using my phone to look up directions to a place, and she answered, kindly hanging up when they asked for me. FML

That’s a terrible way to find out. It’s great they “hid” the fighting. They both love you just not each other. It’s not your fault. Go to therapy. Don’t pick a parent, pick the best for you and explain it that way. I lived with my mom and my dad thought I picked her. I picked a new school because I was being bullied, but never explained that.

Why don't you have your own email account? They are so inexpensive, you can really afford your own. I only pay $49.99 a month for mine.

I have to assume you are a minor based on the situation. This is a bad way to find out about the impending divorce. Though in truth there is no really good way to find out - Thought the better way is in person from both of them. Unless the order you were expecting is important for your survival it’s of very little consequence in this situation. Assuming your parents do separate and then get divorced, this is going to be a difficult time for everyone. My best advice is: (1) Never take one side against the other. It’s not your place to do so and you don’t know all the facts. Doing that will only estrange you from one of your parents and won’t ultimately help either one. (2) This is not about you. You are still their child and will always be. Let them each continue to love and care for you. (3) It costs more to pay for two residences than one and there are big legal costs. This is going to impact the way both parents can afford to live. Bear that in mind and don’t be a financial burden - Learn to live with less.
