Today, I still have the bronchitis and the stomach flu that I suffered through all weekend. Today was to be the day I had my bachelorette party and wedding shower. I had to call both of them off. FML

Today, I woke up with bronchitis and hemorrhoids. I'm getting married in 3 days. FML
Today, after a week of staying in at night and fighting off a persistent cold, I was finally feeling well again, so I decided to go to my boyfriend's work BBQ. I got food poisoning. FML
Today, it's New Year's Eve. I'd made plans to spend time with my fiancé's family the past week, then my fiancé and I were supposed to drive to my parents place today to celebrate NYE. Unfortunately, this week has been full of sickness. I spent all yesterday bedridden, and now my fiancé is too sick to get out of bed. FML
Today, I had to cancel my wedding because my fiancé is so hungover from his bachelor party, he's throwing up all over the place, can't stand up straight and is calling me by the stripper's name he met yesterday night. FML
Today, after religiously eating healthy, getting good sleep, and trying to keep my stress level low, I'm stuck in bed with aches, fever, sore throat, the shits and throwing up. My wedding is in 2 days. FML
Today, I might have Covid and this weekend is my birthday weekend. FML
Today, it's my wedding day, and I have uncontrollable diarrhea. FML
Today, I got food poisoning from my wedding food. FML
Today, I was supposed to have my bridal shower, an experience I’ve looked forward to since I was a little girl. Yesterday I tested positive for Covid, for the third time in three years. FML
Today, because the two other managers decided to go on a spa day together, I had to stay at work despite the fact I spent most of the day throwing up in the bathroom. They called me to say what a good day they had. FML

I say you still have the bachelorette party and shower. For the party you and your friends can go to the pharmacy and buy you cough syrup and Pepto Bismol for the shower. Then you can all get drunk on the cough syrup and play fun party games like "Try to Puke in the Toilet" and "Cleanup on Aisle 6!"

Your bachelorette party can be easily rescheduled. It's not like it's as important as the actual wedding. Calling it off last minute wont hurt anything. As for your wedding shower...well, same thing.

I agree with you about the bachelorette party, since it's usually a huge "girl's night" out. But as far as the wedding shower? That's most likely more formal and cost money on food, decorations and such.

#17 I agree with you about the wedding shower being more formal, however I doubt most people would actually take time off work for a wedding shower, so to me that shouldn't be a huge inconvenience . I don't know much about that whole process though, so maybe it's just me.

Actually, although we don't know the circumstances, there's plenty she could do. She could still go to her bachelorette party and her wedding shower. She could take antibiotics. She could go see a doctor. She could lay in a chamomile bath.(For the bronchitis.) Etc... There's plenty she COULD do.. It's just a matter of doing it. :) Just being technically realistic about it...
