Today, I spent three hours painstakingly installing and configuring some parental control software on my 11-year-old son's laptop after I caught him watching porn. Barely an hour after returning the laptop, I caught him watching yet more porn on it. FML

Today, I finished installing remote access CCTV cameras around my house due to the high rate of burglaries around my neighborhood. I turn it on to see my teenage son rubbing one out on the couch. FML
Today, I came home, turned on my laptop, and turned the TV on mute so I could check my email. My mom came home an hour later, took a look at me on the couch, then the TV, and asked what on earth I was watching. I looked up from my laptop and realized it was porn. FML
Today, I was having computer problems, so I let my friend have remote access to fix them. We were video-chatting on Skype at the time, and so he thought it'd be hilarious to load hardcore porn in my browser the moment he saw my mom enter the room from behind me. I'm now grounded. FML
Today, I was babysitting my friend's 12-year-old son while his dad was having an emergency procedure at the hospital. I walked into the den to see if he wanted to go out to dinner, only to find him watching Pornhub on my iPad. FML
Today, I had to teach my son to use private browsing because his porn keeps appearing in the search history. It worked, it’s no longer in the history, but he has added his favourite videos as tabs on the favourites bar. Either he’s a bigger idiot than I thought or he’s doing it on purpose. FML
Today, I woke up to my wife yelling at my 11-year-old because she found porn on the laptop. Now I have to come clean and tell her it was me so I can get him off the hook. FML

Is it really necessary for an 11 year old to have his own personal laptop? And OP, unless he bought it himself, you have rights to take it away

#1, there are many things that could be done to stop him. Snap his computer in half. Turn off the Internet router. Stab him, light him on fire, and dump his body behind McDonalds. Or simply just take the computer away.

This is when you take the laptop away from him and refuse to let him play on it again, until he learns to stop. Or find someone who knows how to install the parental control properly. Either way, you need to punish him for his actions.

He's old enough to break into the parental controls and change it. Then he should be able to figure out a way to watch **** without being caught! Try embarrassing him. I think that will go over very well!

I would ask you, OP, "remember what did you do back then when you was eleven", but the Net was not in "each home" back then, I know. But even that... did YOU not want to watch **** back then and did you not try everything to see it back then? As XistingPrince said - try to embarass him about it. That might work.

Jeez what ever happen to communication this op is trying so hard to block **** but need to talk to their kid about why they're blocking the **** on the laptop I mean the kid still gonna do it but at least teach the kid safe sex

Why does he have a laptop? He's 11 he should be outside playing with other kids not on a computer. Parents these days. I wasn't allowed to have a computer till I turned 16. I find that an appropriate age. There's no need for him to have a laptop!!

Talk to him about it first and see what he tells you about why he was watching it and where he learned about it from then let him know if he keeps looking at it his laptop uses will be only supervised uses and that's that. End of story ....

Then you take away the laptop. Even if the kid bought it themselves... they're breaking a law and you can take it away for that. Or, actually call the cops. tough love.

Dude, he's eleven, his balls probably haven't even dropped yet! He doesn't need to watch it until he's actually started growing pubes and his voices starts to deepen! No child under the age of 14 has an inherent right to watch **** (besides the fact that's illegal until your 18 or 21 depending on the state/ country) he can wait till he's in highschool to watch that stuff.

You would be surprised at the age when growth like that starts nowadays. Growth hormones given to the animals we eat are causing us to mature at a much younger age.. Lol I'm a total nerd
