Today, I slipped on a plastic bag that my mom, the hoarder, was keeping on the stairs. I fell and sprained my ankle, getting rug burn in the process. Her response? Getting mad at me, putting the bag back on the stairs, then getting another to add to the pile. FML

Get her on TV. That's what everyone else does these days when they have a problem.

That has got to suck. People like the OP's mother doesn't need children in a household like that.

She's a bitch

Well, seems like you have two possibilities: 1. Get the **** out of there! 2. Get your mom some help. I'm sure you can find some numbers you can call on the internet.

Can't she at least say "Sorry"?

Maybe you should get her some help?

I have this problem with my flatmate, he's a hoarder and hasn't cleaned the house in years, it's honestly disgusting. The best way to deal with it? Sorry this isn't helpful, but moving out. I avoid my home because it depresses me and affects my health, so I'm looking to move out because having a hoarder understand takes a long time, they have emotional attachment to the junk they keep and it's irritating for the people who live with hoarders.

I feel like Katy Perry should start singing...

time to move... or call hoarders
