Today, I realized that without fail, even if I'm not supposed to get it, I get my period just in time for vacations. FML

Today, a month into exercising for the first time in years to get summer body for vacation, the sudden exertion pushed back my period. If I'd sat on my ass, my period would have been on time this month, and over next month before my vacation started. I was really looking forward to period-free vacation. Not anymore. FML
Today, I was showing the guy I like something on my phone. My period tracking app decided it was the perfect time to tell me that I need to stock up on tampons, because I'm getting my period tomorrow. FML
Today, I woke up to realize I got my period a week early. The day of the after-wedding brunch. In a sort of remote area. Without pads or tampons. I need to be at the breakfast in a half-hour. FML
Today, I got my period. 10 minutes into a 3 hour exam. Apparently they are serious when they say you may not leave the room under any circumstances. FML
Today, it's the first day of a long-needed vacation after weeks of stress and overtime. I'm having such intense period cramps, I'm bathed in sweat. FML
Today, while writing a midterm, my period came unexpectedly. Too bad my male professor was the one to notice and not me. FML
Today, I realized that without my birth control pills, I would have no idea what day it is. FML
Today, I'm apparently so desperate for companionship that my body has subconsciously synced my period with the girl who works in the cubicle adjacent to mine. FML
Today, I got my period early. While traveling. For a funeral. I had to walk through two entire airport terminals to find a shop that had any period products, and the only option was an $18 box of tampons. Six tampons, to be precise. FML
Today, I woke up with a hangover, a shaved head, and my period. FML

Being a female is amazing because your uterus automatically senses when the worst possible time to get a period arises...shame on you for not giving it a baby OP!! In all seriousness, they can come early/late due to stress or changes in diet and vacations usually have both :/ I hope you came prepared anyway even though it's an inconvenience

Try to stop stressing yourself out before trips. While periods can be delayed by stress, they can also be provoked by it.

They could be brought on because of stress. It could be that you are stressing go about having your period so you get it anyway

You should ask your doctor about pills you can take to temporarily stop your period, I know they have them in England but I'm not sure about anywhere else.
