Today, I realized that the closest thing I have to a savings account is the cup on my dresser with coins in it. I counted it, $17.34. That is my savings. I'm 28. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I’m starting my 28th year with 28 cents on my bank account. FML
Today, I realized that my 5 year old son has more money saved up in his piggy bank than I have in my actual bank account. FML
Today, I found out that my parents are 28,000 dollars in debt and that my bank account has $27.17 in it. They took my money to help pay their debt. FML
In the red
Today, I did the math: if I wiped out my savings account, the joint account I have with my husband, as well as the savings accounts I started for nieces and nephews to pay for student loans, I would only owe $41,000 more. FML
Waiting for that trickle down
Today, I looked at my bank balance. It read $1.23. That's higher than it usually is. FML
Thievery
Today, I checked my bank account that I've been saving money in since I was a kid for college. I have $100 left out of the $10,000 I had last month. Apparently my parents thought buying a pool and an HDTV for themselves was more important than my college education. FML
Today, I'm so poor that I've been scrounging around my house all day trying to find quarters and dimes so that I can buy myself a cup of coffee tomorrow. FML
Today, my dad came home from Vegas. Today, my college savings account is down by $64,000. FML
Today, a little girl I give horse-riding lessons to told me she had saved up $8.00 for her own pony. I laughed and thought how cute she was, then realized that was more than I have in my own savings account. FML
Today, I told my mom I had 73 cents in my checking account. She gave me a penny and told me I had 74 cents and it was even now. Thanks mom. FML

Don't pay much attention to most on here. They all live at home still. So far only seen 2 decent comments here 12 & 21.

YDI. I grew up with Welfare, started working when I was 13, moved out at 17, paid my way through college, started my own company, bought myself a house and started retirement at 34. Now I'm 36 and the only reason I'm going back to work is because I'm bored out of my mind. Anyone can do it if they are determined.

Anyone want to not assume he's pathetic and that maybe he pays his bills, leaving him broke? Not everyone lives at home, or in a place with low cost of living

Too many assumptions going on here. OP may have a job, best thing I can say is eliminate unecassary expenses & work towards getting a better wages. Chin up!
