Today, I made a frustrating discovery about my new bunny. He can’t stand the fan in my small studio apartment, and thumps angrily and refuses to sleep if it's on. I can’t sleep with it off. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Shut up
Today, after spending the three previous nights cursing the noisiest bird alive that continually disrupts my sleep to the point where I just want to smash the damn thing's head in with a rock, I realised it's been my pedestal fan the entire time. FML
Chill out, Bugs
Today, I bought my sister a bunny and all it does is try to bang my cat, and shit and piss in my room to mark its territory. FML
Hummmmmmmmm
Today, I moved into my brand new apartment, only to discover that there is an annoying, constant hum coming from the ceiling above my bed. FML
Marked
Today, I learned that bunnies mark for territory. And when I say mark, they do a 360 no scope piss and spray everything all over the walls. The smell is horrendous. FML
Deal with it
Today, in the middle of this heatwave, my mom has a fan in her bedroom and her precious dog has two fans pointing at her dog bed, which she apparently needs because she could overheat, poor thing. Meanwhile, I have zero fans in my room and can't sleep from the heat, but I get told to just deal with it. FML
Today, not only does my cat rabidly attack my face if I don't let him sleep on my pillow, but he snores too. FML
Full blast
Today, I decided to bring down a very old fan from the attic. I plugged it in, and as soon as I turned it on, tiny spiders were blown all over my room. FML
Do not come
Today, I visited my doctor upon coming home from University. I found out that I'm severely allergic to our pet bunny, which has resulted in a rash taking over my body. She suggested that we get rid of the bunny. I told my mom. She told me to come home less often. FML
Today, I woke up again to a warm trickling sensation on my neck. It would seem my rabbit has a thing for doing his business on me to wake me up. FML
What is going on?
Today, my wackjob roommate decided to sit next to me on the couch, basically make out with her pet rabbit, and baby-talk to it. Key highlights involved giggling while the bunny licked up inside her nose and then commenting on the rabbit's "pronounced nipples". Why? FML

Guess he's not a fan...

Is there any way you can shield him from the wind it makes? Or is it the sound that the bunny doesn't like?

Elmer Fudd, at your service! He’s got a great recipe for Hasenpfeffer! Or you could get Glenn Close to take care of Thumper. She won’t be ignored, Dan!

But it’s duck season not rabbit season.

Elmer doesn’t give a fudd about the wules! If there’s a wascally wabbit out there causing twouble, Elmer will hunt it down.

This. No need to waste a good rabbit and on top of that it's very yummy. You can just keep trying until you find one that isn't bothered by the fan.

I'm the same way. I need some kind of background noise. I also live in a old house with creeks and what not. If I dont have a fan I'll just sit there anticipating the next random noise. My cat hated my fan at first. Wouldnt sleep in my room. Which is a bummer because I like my little cuddly fur buddy. After once the summer rolled around he realized it would cool him off. Now winter or summer. If the fan doesn't point to his favorite corner of the bed he gets cranky. Maybe the same could happen with your friend.

You should still have a separate bathroom right? Just put him in there

So, heres what you do... Re-home the bunny. Problem solved.

Put up a sheet in front of his cage between him and the fan. Or move the fan closer to you and further from him. I've kept rabbits for 25+ years and I am used to dealing with them throwing a bunny fit!

...or put the fan real close to the bunny...like with its head in the blades...

You have the fan on only at night? You could try to train him to ignore it by turning the fan on every day for some time, preferably until he stops thumping. Then give him a treat. I don't have bunnies so I don't know if they can be trained like that, but my friend has some and they seem clever.

this is exactly how you do desensitization training! start with the bare minimum the animal can handle, give a reward, and then next time increase the stimulus
