Today, I learned from my daughter's teacher that she has been wearing the same shirt for the past few weeks, ever since we had a fight about how I don't pay attention to her. FML

Last call, bad decisions and 3 a.m. texts you'll regret until noon. Cheers.
Same thing different taste
Rip off
Today, I learned that my daughter pocketed the money I'd paid so she could go to college. FML
How not to raise 'em right
Today, I learned that my 13 year-old daughter has been wearing the same pad for a week “because there’s no blood on it.” When I told her that it's still disgusting, she tried to defend herself be saying that, "no one ever told her how long she could wear it." FML
Fashionista
Today, my mother had a full-on hissy fit because of the clothes I was wearing. Not because she thought they were inappropriate, but because I was "stealing her look." FML
Kids will be kids
Today, I learned my son has been picking on a girl he has a crush on. He apparently went too far, because she finally snapped and beat him up at recess. The teacher, who knew about this from the beginning and actively did nothing, is trying to throw me under the bus for being oblivious to my son's behavior. FML
Today, I returned a shirt for my mom. When the cashier asked why, I just said my mom didn't like the way it looked. After an awkward pause, I noticed the cashier was wearing the same shirt. She was not amused. FML
Today, after having bought my daughter a complete set of new school clothes, she threw a tantrum and refused to wear them. I told her she could either wear them, or go to school naked. She made if half-way down the street in the nude before I caught up and dragged her back inside. FML
Clashing
Today, my daughter came home in tears, completely distraught. It took half an hour to convince her to tell me what was wrong. What horrific thing happened to her? One of her friends wore the same outfit as her to the movies, and apparently that's a betrayal of their friendship. FML
Today, after a conference with my teacher who had previously accused me of not doing my homework, she finally discovered she'd been losing it all this time. I've been getting straight Fs for a month. FML
Modesty
Today, I found out that my 11 year-old daughter dresses skimpy when I drop her off on the weekends at my ex-husband’s house, courtesy of his girlfriend, who he cheated on me with. When I confronted her, she told me to “stop being such a prude” and with my attitude, “no wonder you get cheated on.” FML
Today, marks the fourth day in a row that I've worn the same outfit to prove to my parents that they pay me no attention. They still haven't noticed. FML

She has mastered my technique! Smart child you got there. Too bad you didn't figure this out on your own and you learned this from a teacher. Next time op .... Look at your child you might notice some things.

Yeah you totally lost that fight. Her point has been proven. How can you not pay attention to your child enough to notice she's been wearing the same shirt? Even her teacher noticed. YDI.

The people claiming that OP is a horrible parent are ignorant. You have no actual proof that he/she is bad at parenting because you do not know OP's side of the story.

I'm a parent, and yeah. I'm saying the OP is doing a terrible job. How do you not notice that your child, who you see every day even in a passing glance, is wearing the same manky old shirt? OP dosent have a leg to stand on, read the post. This has been going on for a few WEEKS. Inexcusable

If OP truly saw fit to defend him/herself, s/he wouldn't have posted this FML putting him/herself in such a bad light.

You must not pay attention to your daughter since you didn't realize she was wearing the same shirt for that long. It's sad that her teacher pays more attention to her than you.

First, Op, you need to stop doing what caught all yout attention and take care of your daughter. She is clever and hasn't been whinning about it for some weeks now. I don't think you are necesesarilly a bad parent, because something has been done right with this girl. She stopped complaining and proved her point in an orderly way. I think Op, you just need to refocus on what really is important. She gave you a headstart and you are still falling behind. Start by talking to her and telling her you are sorry.

I can see why you had that argument with your daughter, how is it possible to seriously not notice is your daughter is wearing the same shirt EVERY day, and her teacher has to inform you? YDI.

How do you not notice that your daughter is wearing the same shirt everyday if you have been paying attention to her.... And one that she has been wearing for a while.

It's sad it took another human being to tell you, because you were too impudent to notice it yourself.
