Today, I have really painful pimples on my upper lip. I'm a professional trombonist, and every note causes excruciating pain. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Make it stop
Today, I have what is probably a cold sore on my upper lip. I also have a mustache, which keeps rubbing against it. Because of this, no matter what I do, it stings. The next few days are fixing to be very, very long and miserable. FML
No pain, no gain
Today, on this edition of me getting pimples in painful or uncomfortable places, I got a huge one on the side of my neck. I never thought that simply turning my head would be such a horrendously painful task. Also, the afflicted area of my neck suddenly itches like crazy. FML
Picture this
Today, I've got so many pimples in my face, I could actually fill a bucket with my own pus. I'm 25. FML
Too many to count
Today, I got a hand cramp from popping zits on my face. FML
Zit remedy
Today, I have a massive pimple right next to my eye. I can't even blink without hurting myself. There's also one on my thigh, so I can't move or sit down without hurting myself. And there's one below my armpit, so I can't move my arms without hurting myself. All I can say is, "Why me?" FML
Thwack
Today, in marching band, the guy in front of me backed up too far. As we turned, the back of his trombone hit mine, smashing it into my lip. I had to finish the song, all while sending blood down my horn. FML
Today, I had to leave class early due to a profusely bleeding pimple on my forehead. FML
Today, my acne reached a new low. Literally. I'm now getting bright red pimples on my penis. FML
Ow ow ow
Today, I discovered that just because I got my braces removed does not mean my painful mouth ulcers will stop. I now have them under my tongue. I can't even lick my lips. FML
That blows
Today, I have a zit on the edge of my nostril, along with severe allergies. I can no longer tell if my tears are from pain or hay fever. FML

Metal allergy?

no? and if it was directly from the trombone ot would be the bacteria on the mouthpiece..

I don't think people break out in zits from an allergy. Hives/rashes maybe, but not zits.

Couldn't you numb it with some wart freeze? It's a long shot but it may work..

Because that's exactly what you want. Not being able to feel your lips at all when playing a brass instrument. That would make it painful for the audience rather than OP.

I mean it might not be that bad, I play trumpet and when my lips are numb I can hit all the high notes! Now mid-lower range isn't the most reliable..

I've never heard of pimples on the mouth. is it similar to a cold sore?

On the lip, everyones had it.

Put some ice for about 2-3 minutes on the area before you play. You won't feel as bad as you feel know. A good trick to prevent having melted ice everywhere is to get a sponge soaked of water in the freezer and then put it on a Ziploc bag when it gets frozen. And keep your instrument clean!

Trust me I know the feeling.

When I was in band (trumpet), a friend of mine developed an allergy to his mouthpiece as the plating on it began to break down. Hope that's not what happened with you :(

Ouch, that sounds terrible.

"... and every note causes excruciating pain..." Yep! That's the trombone!

As a trumpet player, I know this pain! I feel bad for you OP. Hopefully your lip will clear up soon!

I feel your pain. I'm a technical deathcore guitarist who around July every year suffers from terrible dermatitis and dry skin on my hands and fingers. It'll get better
