Today, I had to go through the embarrassment and pain of telling my parents I was pregnant. I took the test and it came out positive and I was freaking out. I got grounded for the rest of the year and they're really disappointed in me. Five minutes ago, I got my period. FML

Today, my parents are freaking at me because I just got my report and I failed my first year of college. They told me they have never been more disappointed in me. I have to tell them that I'm also pregnant. FML
Today, my mom noticed that there weren’t any tampons in the trashcan during my usual time of the month, and promptly grounded me. I’m not pregnant, I just skip periods sometimes. FML
Today, I went to see a doctor because I have been experiencing hair loss. He insisted on a pregnancy test. My parents then grounded me. I'm a virgin. FML
Today, I took a pregnancy test. When I saw that the result was positive, I started crying and showed my mom. She burst out laughing and told me that I had taken an ovulation test. FML
Today, after much deliberation, I decided to accept my parents' invitation to a family dinner. A half hour after I arrived, all hell broke loose, because my mom's pregnancy test had come back positive, and she was convinced my dad had poked holes in his own condom. FML
Today, my mom accused me of being pregnant. She wouldn't believe me when I told her I'm a virgin, and she challenged me to take a pregnancy test. It came back with a false positive. FML
Today, I had to call a parent and tell them that their special needs daughter is pregnant. FML
Today, I went to the doctor, because I've been having stomach pains and nausea for weeks. He ended up gravely telling me I'm pregnant. I freaked out and panicked about what my parents would say. Then his laughter reminded me that I'm a guy. A really stupid one. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I've missed my period, and that I think I might be pregnant. He started panicking and ended up puking in the toilet. FML
Today, I told my parents I was pregnant. They yelled at me until I started crying. I'm 31, married, and I have a good paying job. FML

How come everyone assumes that they weren't using protection? Just because she thought she was pregnant...no form of birth control is 100% effective. Hell...I'm pregnant right now and we were using protection. Just goes to show you that it sometimes does fail.

Just be careful, you might still be preggo, you can have your period and be preggo, and she'd probly still be grounded if she wasn't preggo, she isn't a virgin...and her parents know.

you can get your period and still be pregnant....go get a real test...not a silly take home one you buy at a drug store. good luck.

That doesn't mean your not pregnant. I just learned too. [I'm nont pregnant, it was a possible explanation for pain I was in a couple days ago]. Even if your pregnant, you can get your period that first month, but not any other months. This is not an FML.

Impossible. Pregnancy tests measure the hCG level in the womb, hCG is ONLY detected WHEN you are pregnant. You can never have a false positive, only false negatives. Either you're lying or it's not your period.
