Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, right after I turned down an amazing job opportunity in another location, just so I could be with him. FML
Today, I gave my boyfriend an ultimatum: me, the girl who’s been there through thick and thin for the past 2 years, supported him through his unemployment and death of his father, and who cooks and cleans for him every day, or the girl coworker who he’s been emotionally cheating on me with. Guess who he chose. FML
Today, my boyfriend came home from a two week vacation and told me I needed to move out. FML
Today, I went to see my boyfriend with the intention of breaking up with him. Instead I discovered that he lost his job today and has to move back in with his parents. I can't bring myself to dump someone who's already crying about his horrible day. Now I have to comfort my soon-to-be ex. FML
Today, my boyfriend left me after I'd been supporting him for 9 months while he "finds himself." Why? Because I wanted to go grocery shopping instead of him eating out every day with my money. FML
Today, my boyfriend of 3 months broke up with me because he is moving. He's only moving 20 minutes away. FML
Today, I asked the person I love to commit to me. Instead, he packed his shit and moved out. FML
Today, my boyfriend of four years broke up with me because he wanted some independence. He moved back into his parents' house. FML
Today, I quit my job and sent a mass mail on Facebook that I was moving to a different state with my long time boyfriend. He called me later that night to tell me we aren't moving after all. Now we are both jobless with loads of bills to pay by the end of the month. FML
Today, after I helped get my boyfriend get a new job, he thanked me by dumping me for some whore who works there. FML

Doesn't sound like you talked it through with him all that well - surely if you have been living with him you didn't have to drop him entirely for the job so he might have had something to say about it all. He probably dropped you for not being committed enough to him to share that sort of decision.

This is exactly the type of decision that requires extensive open and honest discussion, I agree. Ydi op for being too scared/immature to discuss it, or, if you did attempt to discuss it, it's clear your bf shut you down, was evasive, or outright lied, so ydi to pick the idiotic bf over the job. Treat yourself better next time- there are plenty of fish in the sea boyfriend-wise, but at this point, NOT job-wise.

Sometimes a person's true nature doesn't show until well into the relationship. There are usually some indicators or hints, but they're not always clear, and when you already love someone, it's easy to look them over. Then again, OP could just be one of those girls that will do anything just to be in a relationship with someone,regardless of what a dick he is to her.
