Today, I got several noise complaints from various neighbours about my "dog that won't stop barking". I don't own a dog, my neighbour owns the noisy dog. She sent me a complaint as well. FML

Today, most of my neighbours came to my house in an angry mob to complain about my dog barking. I don't have a dog. FML
Today, I don't think my neighbours realize that, by getting that dog they have been wanting, they ruined the peace and quiet of the entire neighbourhood, consisting of ten houses. I'm the person underneath whose window that dog barks every day - mostly when I'm either trying to fall asleep or wanting to sleep in. FML
Today, I was screaming at my neighbor to shut his dog up. After 30 minutes of bellowing, he yelled back that it was my dog that was barking. He was right. FML
Today, I went over to my neighbours' to politely complain about their dog, who had been barking non-stop for hours. This issue has been going on for months, and I finally decided today, of all days, was the day to resolve it. When I got there, they'd just got home from giving birth at the hospital. FML
Today, I went to let my dog inside because she was barking. I saw my neighbour standing at my fence, screaming that she was going to kill my dog with a shovel for barking at her. My dog was only doing it because my neighbor was putting her trash in my garbage bin. This isn't a new thing. FML
Today, despite not having noisy kids, barking dogs or do I play loud music, yet apparently I still cause enough noise by walking around and watching TV that the neighbours called the cops with a noise complaint. The cops actually came. Since when is living quietly in my own home a police matter? FML
Today, my apartment complex added $250 to the $1,000 my roomate and I already owe because of an unauthorized pet and complaints from neighbors that our dog barks all night long. We don't have a dog, we don't even have a pet. FML
Today, the neighbor's dog has been barking for over 5 hours. It is barking directly at my window. FML
Today, my new neighbor just put up really loud wind chimes. I just got a ton of letters under my door, stating if I don't take them down, they're going to file a noise complaint with the building management. She owns her condo, I don't. FML
Today, my landlord came to my apartment because of complaints from my neighbors, saying that animals are not allowed inside. Turns out my roommate makes cat-noises when she's bored. My landlord still doesn't believe me. FML

I agree. I would send a complaint saying I was being harassed for having a non-existent dog. Maybe all the neighbors would get the picture if they all received complaints back.

It's a vicious cycle. Sounds like there's lots of tension. Just point out that you have no dog and hopefully common sense prevails!

I would claim that there is a wild dog loose and have animal control deal with the mut. Must be a stray dog since the neighbor won't own up to it.

Well apparently they are that stupid because they don't know that op doesn't have a dog. And I just got my dog recently, maybe ill learn to recognize his bark ^.^

#60: I have a border collie, my neighbours have pitbulls. His shrill, sharp bark is VERY easy to tell apart from their booming. Doesn't help that he's a border collie, therefore dumb as rocks, so he barks at stupid things (like the windshield wipers in the car). But yeah, most dog owners I know could pick their dog out in a crowd at the park by their bark.

Have them search your home for this dog. They will probably hear the one next door while doing this. And if that doesn't work get a dog and put it in their yard

I think you might want to have a talk with your neighbours; especially the ones with the noisy dog ... & it's never too late to send a complaint back to those who actually deserve it.
