Today, I found out that the little red dots all over my body aren't some horrible disease like I originally thought. They're bedbug bites. I've managed to not notice a huge infestation for 5 months. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I woke up to something crawling on my leg. Thinking it might be a spider, I jumped out frantically to check. The good news: it's not a spider. The bad news: it's a bedbug. My apartment was just treated for them. FML
Today, I was glad to find out that all the bedbugs have been eaten. Now I have a spider infestation. FML
Today, after finally going to therapy for anxiety like everyone wanted, I discovered the itching feeling that kept me awake at night was actually caused by a bedbug infestation. FML
Today, I discovered I have bed bugs. I have nowhere else to sleep and I won't be able to afford a new mattress for at least a year. I'd better get used to these giant welts. FML
Don't let 'em bite
Today, I found out that my recurring acne is actually bedbug bites. I have wasted about a hundred dollars on acne cream. FML
Today, I discovered that my bed has a flea infestation. I discovered it after sleeping naked in it for about an hour. FML
Get it off me!
Today, I went to the doctor for what I thought was a persistent bug bite. Turns out it was a mole I'd never noticed. I had been scratching it then applying anti-itch cream for weeks. FML
Today, three days after finally having a bed to sleep on, I woke up with multiple bedbug bites. I can't use my blankets, wear any of my clothes and it's back to sleeping on the floor for me. FML
Horrible little things
Today, after three visits from exterminators and another from a steam cleaner, I still have bedbugs. FML
Today, I realized that the "pimples" on my back weren't pimples at all. Because I was unable to see how bad they were for the last week, I never caught on to the fact the they were, in fact, ticks. FML

You thought you had some horrible disease and didn't get it checked before 5 months?

Glad you don't have a horrible disease...and good luck with the bed bugs, they are the absolute worst.

I know how you feel. For months I had red spots on my arms, back and legs before finding out what the cause was. I had even gone to the doctor, only to be told it was hives. Luckily the infestation was confined to my bedroom only, I hope that was the same for you.

been there, done that. my father in law likes to bring stuff from the side of the road to inside our house, he brought three dressers into our house two years ago, put two of them in my son's room, and guess who got the butt of the infestation? And guess who has very severe case of paranoia? me! so, took about 1.5 years to get rid of them. father in law still has them on his bed couch, I'll find the occasional one here or there, but no more than one.
